Chuck ur morals because if we go in this timeline it doesn't have much of that. Alphonse has the power to behead their family with reason or without. So this really is a very very light punishment. The acts of the children reflects on the parents (not for everyone of course but this is how it worked before)

Honestly, I feel like it was proportional to the damage intended. It wasn’t just any person she targeted, it was the freaking Duchess who married into the royal lineage. Disrespecting her, trying to ruin her would equate trying to ruin the royal family. Being a noblewoman she knows that her actions reflect on her family. Which is why in other novels or manga you’ll see that when a child or parent goes astray the whole family tends to be punished for it. I’ll admit that it would’ve been nice to see him be a bit more merciful, but the intentions of Ariana can’t be dismissed. It seems unfair that her family should be punished, yes, but it’s just how things are in manga nobility

I've read so many otome isekai manga where noble families were punished for one person's actions. Usually those families turned out to be corrupt in some way, it helps to justify our MCs' decisions. I've seen worse so it doesn't bother me too much here. Alphonse's face does look a lil bit sadistic though.

i get what you mean! but unlike aria, she didn't have a bad reputation before angela arrived at the mansion, and just like mielle she wants to kick out the stranger in her house. that's really what her character boils down to. but i can say i like the way mielle is executed better since in her story they show how the adults in her life failed her.

mielle hated aria and her mum for existing and tried to sabotage and killed her in the first life.... jayna was SO nice to angela, now she's just giving angela what she deserves

It isn't because she is the protagonist. It is because in her first life she was super welcoming. She did so much to make Angela feel like a real sister and friend but Angela betrayed her anyway. Beyond that Angela said during that first life that she always hated Jayna. Now in Jayna's second life she is making sure that Angela can't betray her.

The motive for her behavior is different than Mielles and that's why we like her.

She's not "kicking out the stranger in her house" tho. Before she died, she was really nice to angela and treated her like a sister, but now that she knows that angela is such a two-faced son of a biatch, she's "kicking her out". Mielle just wanted Aria out just because she think she's annoying while our MC here wants angela out 'cause that's what she freaking deserves!! Ergo, Mielle and MC are VASTLY different.
