I am screaming about kageyama's eyes!!
spoilers i guess...
-hint of who is who. kageyama possessed his younger brother's body. when he possesses his brother's body, he is the one with double eyelids. the one with the monolids is naoto. this means that for the majority of the manga, who we see was actually kageyama. I think the first time we see naoto as his real self was when he looked out the window from his bedroom.
Also, every time hiura try to call the younger bro, the younger brother wouldn't pick up because it was actually kageyama's phone number and kageyama would pick it up only in times that he possessed the younger bro's body.
-other neighbors also mentioned that when they heard that kageyama went missing, the younger brother "changed" by going out more and cutting his long hair (this indicated that it was kageyama's doing)
i dont even think naoto plays a big role in here except his body. so ppl who are confused about what happened to the brother, basically, nothing. he just went on with his life and he was not close with his older bro. but i feel terrible for him because he is just a shut-in who didnt want to be around ppl...and after kageyama's disappearance, his older bro possessed him and cut his hair without permission. he probably lacked sleep with all the possession and that is enough to kind of drive him to the edge. he did not really understand what was happening at the time when he is possessed but he kind of understood that his brother had an attraction with hiura. so he thought that if he sleeps with hiura, his brother will stop possessing him.
and then more clarifications for the kidnapping in case some ppl didn't understand it.
when kageyama got into trouble with the drunks at the bar, they beat him up and put him in the car. the other guys thought he was dead so they tried to abandon him near the homeless place where nobody can see them. but the guys who were caught did not remember much because they were drunk and dont want to say anything bc they are scared and dont know if they actually killed him or not.
-what probably happened next was that the lady who was searching for her son found kageyama unconscious by the riverbank. She was already mentally ill and disillusioned so she thought kageyama was her son who ran away years ago. kageyama was pretty beaten up by the guys so the lady put him in the hospital. But I think she probably also drugged kageyama so he wouldn't wake up and run away from her. and i have no idea why kageyama's finger was cut off but maybe she was just crazy.
the story was bitter sweet. the majority of their life was sad/bitter but meeting each other was sweet. what was shown in the manga for us (readers) was the only sweet moments of their time together that overpowered their tragic past (domestic abuse, yakuza, etc.). that is why for the readers, it is considered as a sad thing when they have to separate...but for the characters, it was kind of a happy memory???
I personally think they continue to live because they know that the other is still alive and hope to meet each other in the future...or that they can continue to live their life because they met each other.
I havent read this yet but is this really the same author as burning hell ?
Yes!
