Yo if S2 can snipe from others, cant the other scans snipe it back as well? Like the translation's grammar sucks too bad that i can't even understand the story moreover now that the plotline seems a little bit boring, it's worse enough that the grammar is bad (︶︿︶)=凸 Hey, tell me if it's possible. Then gather 5 scans to snipe this story back, istg they're annoying much.

So I've been doing researches and reviewing yall comments and reactions. I figured 2 points at least.
1. This manhwa will continue being translated by the original group. But again, Lord knows when..
2. If the original group hadn't update the story for 2 or 3 months already, other scanalation group/solo can take it over.
Conclusion : sniping. Obv no one likes the detestable most well-known group for sniping, S2. If another group is still working on a certain story, others have no right to take it over unless it's been over 2/3 months since updated with no hiatus info by the author.
Additional info*
And as far as I could read 'few' of the comments, saying that it had been 2 months or so since the original group uploaded, might as well conclude that they've disbanded or dropped this story. But that's obviously what I got from some people which might not be accurate.
Main point*
Is it alright then for someone to take over this story then? Im asking yall, the readers' opinions. If someone else or other group were to take this story over, even if the original group who actually haven't updated for two months hadn't declare that they either disbanded or dropped the story, would you call them as sniping?
- I'm asking for public' s opinion first since 'someone' might as well be interested in picking this up but afraid the readers would labeled them as snipers...

Hello! To me it seems the latest translator said the original group would upload the chapters until 40 (end of season 1) before disbanding, so I'd say that having a new translator wouldn't be okay since the latest stopped because they realised they were sniping.
But! I've already seen teams claim a project as their own and not work on it at all for more than six months (gift was dropped because of that for example) so... as long as the quality is there, I don't think there would be a problem given how the original team didn't post in months.
Anyway, tell 'someone' they have all my support, scanlating isn't an easy task and sometimes some readers are ungrateful, but ultimately we love all teams (except for s2 >:( )

I don’t really know about group's scandals and sniping and stuff so I can’t really give u an opinion of that.
But from what I’ve seen most groups upload on mangadex or another site and not on mangago... and i even tho they still get credits when someone just uploads it here too, they don’t really appreciate it....?? maybe
Personally I don’t really see a problem with another translation team uploading here. I mean it’s not the main upload site, so it’s not like you’re purposely trying to upset the original translation team. Also if they are against another group picking up this manhwa, they can say so and ask them to stop. The respectful thing then would be to stop and let the original team take over again.
Again, I don’t really know about that stuff so most of what I said could very well be complete bs but that’s just what my uncultured self thinks ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Well, even if people complain about "sniping", the original author isn't the one complaining about that matter, and to be honest, they are the only ones who should be allowed to complain over any matter dealing with their works. Translation teams don't own the original story. Many groups have their own sites they post to, how many of them don't like their stuff posted on sites like Mangago? It would not be out of the ordinary for more than three teams to translate the same story, when none of them has access to each others site. Is it possible that readers on those sites are the ones taking them off their sites and posting them other places? I could give you another hundred scenarios, but I don't think I have the time or room on this page.
REMINDER: If the story wasn't totally loved, then no one would have translated it.

It's alright! You explained it very well despite not knowing much about scanlation groups' matters, sniping and etc. just like you said ( ̄∇ ̄") So to conclude your opinion, if someone were to take over this story, even if the original group's still active, you won't label them as snipers, I supposed? Well, ok cool then^^ Thanks for sharing your opinion, I appreciate for taking your time answering^^

I think if it has been 2~3 months without an update and the trans group didn't specify that they were taking a break or dropping it then it should be free game but that's just my opinion. I've seen quite a few trans groups that say that they're taking a break from the series for a month or two and hand over the translation to another group so readers don't have to wait so that's, imo, the best way to do it. If the trans group leaves a note at the end of their update saying that life got busy and they don't have enough time to work on the series then it at least keeps the readers updated and let's them know that the story wasn't dropped. Overall, I think there needs to be more communication among scan and trans teams and the readers. If there was then there would be less misunderstandings. I definitely appreciate the trans and scan teams working hard out there to crank out these chapters. Ik it isn't easy but I would like a little bit more communication to be present.

Actually, I kinda like your opinion about the lack of communication between scanners and readers. But then I don't think I've heard any updates regarding the original group of this story, pardon if I left an important detail( ̄∇ ̄") so is it like a 'free game' rn IF the original group don't have any updates nor specific reasons about the late uploads? Thanks for telling your opinion tho! It actually helps to see from things from a various perspectives^^

I'd think so since it has been a couple months since their last update. Ik that some groups have separate websites where they post updates so I'd see if they have one of those or message them directly to see what's going on (we're all human so maybe they're just overwhelmed with work?) But even then, i feel like if that's the case then they should vocalize it and let someone else take over until their lives settle down. I mean we're all reading this on a pirated site so I don't think there's a right way to go about it but I can also respect the dedication and time that certain scan groups put into the stories that they've been updating for months or years even so I can see why they would grow attached and not want others to take over but I still think that it'd be better for the readers if the story continued on. There have been a few cases where another translator took over and the quality of the translation dropped drastically which made some readers more willing to wait a couple months for an update but so long as it's a good quality scan and the trans flows smoothly then most readers would show only gratitude. I usually try to stay out of the drama among the scan and trans groups so this is just the perspective of an uninformed, neutral reader ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

Awwh how sweet of you to even think about both perspectives, the reader's and the translator's Well, I do agree with you on 'that' one. So, 'that' is, it's a quality over quantity then? As long as the quality is good, then I'm assuming you're cool with whoever's translating them^^ I guess it is necessary to have a 'Uninformed Neutral Reader', haha(〜> ∇ <)〜

Yes as long as the quality is good then I'm happy (▰˘◡˘▰) but I do get excited when I get updates so I love the scan teams that can manage multiple updates in a month. It's my way to destress so the good quality yet frequently updated ones make me feel like I'm getting a present when I read them. Those groups are my favorite, especially when they add the memes at the end

Exactlyyyy. Especially when the group shares their conversations, literary my favourite lit type of group>w< As someone who solo scans, I REALLY envy their great chemistry TwT I feel like I'm getting carried away by excitement Anyway, I'm pretty sure everyone--- or at least I hope that most of them thinks like that TT

Yes, I wouldn’t call anyone a sniper. If anything I’d be glad bc i get an update faster. I really respect the work people put into tranlating, cleaning, redrawing and typesetting, so if the quality is acceptable and we can understand the plot, I don’t think readers should have anything to complain about. I mean we get all this for free anyways ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Also, I read you’re a solo scanlator.... If you want me to, I could try to help. I can draw fairly well/ok (I actually plan to draw my own webtoon one day) and I think I cleaning and redrawing should be manageable (I hope). I’ve never done this before tho, hence I may be a bit slow at first ( ̄∇ ̄")
(Oof I feel like I can’t english well today)
Wait— wtf? What did this mf bitch said?
