Ok I've got a lot of things to say cause you people are irritating me. Seriously it's like these people just ignore everything they read cause they're to damn focused on the "RAPE" like seriously! All of you guys saying "ew rape" "you guys accept rape? Nasty" "RAPE RAPE RAPEEE"
Listen up! Many and I mean many times there have been comments saying "IT WASN'T RAPE!!! FUTURE, MEANING CHAPTERS THAT HAVEN'T BEEN TRANSLATED AND WE HAVEN'T READ YET, ARE GOING TO EXPLAIN WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPEN. ALL YOU SAW WAS A SMALL PART OF IT." For some reason you all just seem to focus on the rape and disregard everything. Not to mention even if it was rape, what about it? It's freaking fiction! Meaning it's not real! Just because we like this FICTION manga doesn't mean we all support rape. None of us are posting stuff saying rape is awesome. You all act like we are the cause of rape. Well I don't see you guys going out in the world and protesting about it or even trying to prevent it. If you care about rape so much then instead of complaining about it in a fictional manga, you guys go protest and try to solve a real problem in the REAL WORLD. We just like the book cause it's cute. Apparently you guys can't seem to tell what reality and what's not. Plus this isn't something new, lots of yaoi manga have actual rape in it and some much worse than in here but I don't hear you guys screaming rape in their comment sections.
Another thing that's annoying me is that you guys all say sunbae is coercing hosik, well how about this. Even before the "rape" he was treating hosik nicely and slowly trying to become friends with him, he didn't just "rape" him then threw marriage papers in his face! Even after he found out hosik was pregnant he was genuinely happy and trying to take responsibility. What? Would you rather he tell hosik to get an abortion and not take responsibility? Then after he did what a normal person would do which is introduce his parents, treat hosik nicely, and prepare a marriage. Or would you rather he run away and leave hosik giving birth with no marriage? He then continues to shower hosik with love and try to bring him on dates so they can get to know each other better and to give them more of a relationship then just straight marrying hosik. He even tried to prepare presents for hosik! And give him a proper proposal, it's just that hosik swallowed the ring by accident.
Sorry for super long rant but I was getting super annoyed at these "rape protesters" who don't just enjoy the story and instead make the "rape" which happened more than ten chapters ago a super huge deal.
The reason us, "rape protesters", are upset is because of the way the rape excused. Even if it's in fiction, rape should never be romanticized or excused. Doing so perpetuates this idea that rape is fine (because it's fiction). There are impressionable audiences who are reading this who could romanticize rape because of this webtoon's portrayal. Excusing rape as the consequence of repressed love also fetishizes the relationship between gay men. It's not a healthy portrayal of what gay relationship is like.
Fictions are a way of communicating, and when it's use to fetishize and romanticize violent and unhealthy tendencies or actions, it leaves the wrong messages to the reader and helps to perpetuate ill ideas.
So the reason why "rape protesters" are against excusing rape is because it's sending negative messages to the reader about rape and could distort our perception of what health and unhealthy relationships are liked.
Srsly those rape comment r getting annoying, can't anyone just sit back and read? If you feel uncomfortable about this manhwa then please kindly do not read it, there are a bunch of consensual manhwa out there, you preaching here really wont change a thing, it just made ppl who trying to enjoy this manhwa annoyed
While I do agree with what you said on how mangas like this could easily influence readers and change how they view rape. I think if you're reading a yaoi manga you're not really that innocent where you can be that easily influenced by the rape, especially since it's a reoccurring theme in a lot of yaoi mangas. But I do get what you mean cause there are a lot of young readers. Anyway it's not my main point in this, I get that you guys don't like reading it and are upset but instead of just not reading the manga, a lot of you go complain in the comments. Which is fine if a few people do it but it gets annoying for the people who do enjoy the manga and even ruins it a little when most if not all of the comments complain about the rape. It's like if a friend kept complaining about one subject only and keeps repeating it. It gets super annoying and you wouldn't want to keep listening. Even if you're upset you don't need to repeat what others have already said over 100 times. This would be different if it were real but since it's only a manga posted on this website, all that complaining doesn't change anything about the rape. All it's doing it annoying other readers, could possibly stop the translator from translating it further because of all the hate from the rape which would then make it so we can't read it anymore and lastly it stops others from reading this manga because they would expect it to be super bad rape when it's not that bad. It's mostly fluff and cute.
It's not that we agree with the rape or that we don't care about it cause it's fiction, it's more that it annoys others. Simply if you don't agree with it, don't read it. And I'll mention it again, it wasn't rape in the first place, the book doesn't just skip over it for the rest of the story, in further chapters it will be explained. So even though there's no explaination about it now, there will be one in the future, just be patient. Or go read the raws.
well as a readers of fictions....i always focus on the story how it will go if its got a good plot or if its interesting or if the characters makes me laugh and if it makes me go "kyaaaahhhh(≧∀≦)"i will read it. if its not i dont read it coz its a waste of time ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭. i know theres rape content on it but idc it doesnt affect my daily life or my perception or my whole being. reading fiction is my way of enjoying my free time, when the story ends the book is closed and time to get back to work, thats how i do it. idk to others.
Most of the time if I see a harem tag I won't even read the book. I would read the summary and it looks like the manga/novel is great but then I see a harem tag and lose all interest and start hating the book. I don't know why harems and op mcs are so popular. Harems just mean 2 things, one the mc doesn't really love any of the harem members because if you really love them you wouldn't date 6 other girls. Two the mc is a pervert and player. Basically true love or even love don't exist in these book. Also the op tags are a bit annoying at times, cause he's already so op that no one can beat him from birth. There's no real hard work, the mc doesn't end up growing much as a person. I just hope this doesn't turn into one of those brainless op mc and harem mangas where no body actually has a personality.
It would be so much better in my opinion if things would turn out like this. He gets a few blessings only, not full out op. But even with those few blessings he's already considered a monster(a danger to the kingdom) his father tells him to hide his stats. But taking it lightly he tells his tutors his stats. Nothing much happens but then while he's adventuring with his tutors in the forest. He gets separated from them when a powerful monster appears. He gets lost and finds a cute girl getting attacked by monsters, saves her and reveals his stats to her because she's just a little girl and he thirsty af like most harem mcs. Bringing her back to town with him after they separate and she says her thanks. But she's actually a duke's daughter who's engaged to the crown prince, she spills the beans on mc's stats to the prince. And mc gets captured! When the king requests him to serve under the king and that he will be given a title, the mc refuses because he don't wanna be tied down to the kingdom and instead wants to be an adventurer. Then because he could become a threat to the kingdom he's locked up and deemed as a monster. He experiences torture as a magical experiment subject. His family can't go against the king to save him, he thinks he's been abandoned and learns his lesson. In the experiments his they were able to slowly extract his magical powers and instead insert it into the royal family. After a few years he's now a darken mc and has lost a lot of his power, finally one day he's able to escape and stumbles upon a cave, where there's a crystallized drop of blood from the dragon king from hundreds of years ago. The drop fuses with him and he becomes a dragon kin. Gaining more power he swears to take revenge. Then a long part of the story with him getting stronger and the final goal of the manga would be for him to become the first dragon God.
Lol I got really into that but sounds like it would be so much better to me.
Damn it man what you just said sounded like it would make a beyond great story if done right but I'll never know because of all these damn cliche ass isekai mangas and light novels that are getting made people aren't putting much thought into these stories anymore is the same thing everytime I search for a fantasy manga
and it sucks, You should be a story writer or something
So. I have come to say why I like op mcs-which are only good if the Mc knows what power means or learns what it means--, in my opinion, like in saitama case, for comedy cuz that anime is cute and funny (bless one of my favs), the smart ways that an op mc hides his stats like ACTUALLY having the brain to determine that O SHIZ I might get into some deep shiz if I reveal my stats (unlike in this manga it just makes this kid look careless and unworthy of handling such power) makes connections with other ppl(really spotlighting the personality and showing how they interact with those with less power and their decision to hide it or show it), coming on terms of their power (learning how much is gonna be TOO much-then again in this manga he straight up seems careless, since he's like 'oh well' and he isn't in deep shiz yet) rather then character development I think op Mc stories really feature more of how their power affects the world and the people around them, like if they're regarded as holy or decide to build a freaking city (good manga btw) and how that power can be used for good or bad #icantellulikerevengestories. Rather then building personality it's more like changing the world#appre iateactionartitsfabulous or wating to go home or learning to use and lvl up their power well if ur in need of some revenge Mangas I can fish u a couple, if you've read them already sorry (fantasy based)
Ehhhhh I'm the kind who likes actual revenge so this kinda sucks. She literally thinks like a kid, the kingdom forcefully summonsed her, ignored her, framed a crime on her then kicked her out into a forest filled with dangerous beasts. She was almost killed too if not for accidentally entering that barrier. And what's her revenge? Make them cry and give them a punch? Is she a kid? Aside from that the story's keep bad dull with dumb characters.
*kinda dull
there are a few other Isekai's with that theme. There is also one with a horror theme kinda where they literally torture graphically as a revenge. I suggest you read that one haha.
This Isekai is more of the cute style if you didn't notice when you saw the drawing style ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
If you're going to suggest something maybe also name the story you're suggesting? It sounds way interesting than this one.
Spoiler alert (well not too detailed) .........................................................................................................................................................Dont worry she will get her revenge lol and its not just crying. In the comments bellow there are translation of the novel and it mentions it but in like chapter 30+. Also I think the story gets better its just way to slow at the moment. Just wait untill she get out of the forest and meets a king, acts like a cat, etc.
