That is true, not say a bottom can’t be the role of sadist of course. But, I’d also say given the troupes the mangaka likes to present another one is like the Younger Top which is a pretty big troupe in BL. And plus there’s possibly already some foreshadowing that things he’s done/said will come back to him later. Like how he said Hatano’s promise to confess again is his future self’s problem as he chose to not worry about it in the moment.
