As someone who has read the novel this is my professional opinion of the family (the professional part was a joke haha)

The father: he has a great character development of the family. He finds out about EVERYTHING Penelope has gone through in the house and outside of it. To the point he completely destroyed the dining room and built a new on (If you don't remember, Penelope was mostly harassed by maids from the kitchen since she was not eating properly). He will find out that everything he has been told that she has done is actually not true, for example he still thinks Penelope tried to steal Ivonnes necklace when she was a child but Reynold will tell his father that it was him who did it and blamed Penelope in the past. After this the father becomes much more protective of Penelope and is constantly asking for forgiveness. Besides that, when 'Ivonne" comes back he doesn't change at all, in fact he is scared Penelope is going to be hurt and not "Ivonne". Oh and also he reflects on how he failed as a father so yeah 10/10 character development here

Reynold (2nd brother): so he has always been a constant bully and stuff. Though his reason for hating her was because he heard her praying for Ivonne to never come back he never truly fully hated Penelope. His biggest mistake was the necklace thing but in my opinion he was the first to ever protect Penelope in the house and to see her injustice (though it was his fault that it came to that). Reynold is also the first one to ever ask forgiveness and he will keep doing it since Penelope will tell him that all her injustices in the house is his fault and boy in that part he was almost shaking and crying lol. After this, Reynold would go to his father and tell him everything, how he framed Penelope with the necklace incident and other injustice she has gone through because pf his attitude (He got a good beating lol) Also when the fake Ivonne comes to the house at first he protects Penelope and only trusts her; this part actually made me feel good but sad because Penelope will leave the house because she is scared of Ivonne and scared that no one will trust her so yeah but Reynold would be literally drinking AND CRYING for Penelope. He would be saying stuff in a drunk state like "I will buy you whatever necklace you want" (basically saying he will spoiled her with anything she wants) and also asking for forgiveness over and over; this is so funny because the Butler will be loyal to Penelope and the Duke (father) so when renyold was acting like this the butler was calling him pathetic (since the butler also believed all the rumors of Penelope which those rumors were Reynolds fault, so when the Bulter finds out that most of all were lies he was ashamed of himself and blame the bothers. He becomes a loyal vassal to Penelope) Oh and he will protect Penelope from Derrick (1st brother) constant injustice towards Penelope since Derrick is a bitch and a piece of shit....sooo also great character development. Lastly there will be a situation coming up in the hunting arc where Reynold is the only one who trust Penelope and knew she didn't do what she was been accused for

Derrick (1st brother): Oh this mf is a piece of shit let me tell you. So here is a funny thing, he doesnt like Penelope to call him brother right? at first I was like well he has his traumas since he blames himself when Ivonne was captured so he is in complete denial and hoping that she is still alive (basically not letting go). Buuuuut I believe there is another reason.... so you'll see but every time Penelope is close to the prince his favoribiltity goes down sooo quick. He is always defensive to Penelope even when he is beyond 50% like dude calm down and there was a scene that gave me the chills. So for Penelope's birthday he got her a bird...a bird that has her same hair color.... but yeah because she wanted that gem last year that this bird gives (the birth eggs are gems idk man you know no manhwa makes sense haha) so he wants to give this to her but she doesnt want it (since we all know from all the characters he is the one who has given her the most trauma) so she told him to free the bird but he said no; he was going to keep the birth in the cage.... ANYWAYS MOVING ON. He is an asshole towards her but at the same time treats her good so what he is? A tsundere. He has never been openly rude to her but he just judges her and doesnt trust her at all. When the fake Ivonne comes he is the first one to be under the hypnosis and fo course treated Penelope bad but he breaks the hypnosis when he hears the fake Ivonne saying how much she wants to kill Penelope so my dude was "You are not my sister she would never say anything like that" and even though I hated the fake Ivonne boy did she made him suffer and felt GOOOOD. So Penelope will drink poison in a tea since she knows Ivonne is trying to frame her, so she drinks the poison because she feels that was the best thing to do so when Penelope wakes up she is going to sy that she did it because her life in the mansion was miserable. SOOO fake Ivonne will tell Derrick that she knows he loves Penelope and she tells him something like "how does it feel that women you love so much tried to kill herself because of you?" and my boy has a mental breakdown because Derrick has been in love with Penelope since a looooong time ago but he was disgusted of it so he was a Tsundere basically. He is kind of obsessed with her...like he wants to always control her and stuff but ill give him credit because he didnt knew either about her bad treatment in the mansion so when realizes about how she is a victim of harassment of the people in the mansion, he will fire anyone who disrespects her. In fact, there is going to be a scene where some soldiers are trying to bully Eclis by saying that who knows what Penelope makes him to do because she gives him to many gifts (yeah so basically they were implying he was a sex slave). Derrick gets to know this and bye bye soldiers. So yeah from all the male characters he is the one who suffers the most because of Penelope not loving him and he also suffers so much because of his past behavior

ok so here is the tea (of literally the entire story)

- After this is a hunting competition
--so Penelope goes to the hunting competition where she gives a magical amulet to her father and is going to give one to her brother/emergency but daddy callisto takes it from Penelope as his own
--then when the hunting competition starts she goes in the forest when a quest for her to kill this massive bear appears she is about to die when our Lord and savior Callisto appears and saves her
--as Penelope and Callisto are riding on a horse a bunch of assassins target them when Penelope takes them out on her own (what a queen) as apart of another quest, but they end up calling off of a cliff
---they spend the night in a cave with Penelope in Callisto's arms, and Penelope uses her archeology skills from her past life to excavate an ancient map that they find
---however, the prince was poisoned by an assassin so he is unconious and Penelope is put on trial (she wins ofc), and her wish that she is granted from the Prince for saving her is to not kill her :(

- Basically after that (sorry this is really choppy with the original storyline) Callisto keeps contacting Penelope to the point where he goes to the Duke's mansion and Penelope quickly dresses up as a sick person and the Crown Prince notices, Penelope helps Vinter do volunteer stuff when the children (those they we saw in the manwha) are kidnapped, so they go save them (also apart of a quest). They go to save them, when they get split up and Penelope is attacked by monster when non other than the Crown Prince Callisto saves her (round of applause for this beautiful man that protects Penelope everytime she is abt to die), and blah blah blah happens (all the MLS have there favorablilty like over 50%) and Eclise's (favorbility around 89%) asks Penelope to run away with him (but she is like umm hell nah)
- some stuff happens when ECLISE, the man with the HIGHEST FAVORIBILITY, comes back one day with the one, the only, heroine, Yvonne.

HERE IS THE BACKSTORY OF YVONNE/HISTORY OF THIS WORLD:
Basically there was a group of people called Lelias that wanted power so much that they became monsters and their souls had to be put into another body, so when Yvonne got lost in the festival the Lelia put their soul in her body so she was no longer the true Yvonne. Yvonne went through the story like the original game where she was the heroine and Penelope was the villain, when she was the real evil one. Penelope is the only one that goes against Yvonne (and ends up dead by the Crown Prince), so when she has everyone fall for her, she takes over/destorys the world. Right before she does that though, Vinter does magic to turn back time. The same story keeps replaying for millions of times with Penelope being betrayed and killed millions of times to the point to which her soul breaks/is like destroyed so she is reincarnated into another dimension in Korea (so basically she was the real Penelope all along) and sent into this game which is actually real. When she is sent, her original Korean body goes into a coma with stomach cancer.

Penelope's Coming of Age:
At this point Penelope had rejected Callisto and his engagement proposal because she knew he did not love her but was doing it bc of their goals, but he is at her coming of age regardless. (but he did come to love her at that point even though she does not know it). Many people are brainwashed by evil Yvonne (like the Derrick, Eclise, and the staff of the mansion) but Callisto, the Duke, and the second brother are not. Even though she does not want the party it happens and the son of a bitch first brother BRINGS YVONNE IN THE MIDDLE OF HER CEREMONY when the Duke told him not to. Yvonne poisons Penelope, and Penelope takes knowing that thinking "I should just die anyways (not bc she wants to go back to the original world but bc she wanted to die), she drops to the floor and Vinter, Callsito, the Duke, and Renald are all trying to desperately save her (THE FUCKING FIRST BROTHER JUST STANDS THERE LIKE AN IDIOT)
She is unconious for a week (and my heart literally shattered at this part) Callisto stays at her bedside all night and day even stating that he would kill himself if she dies

In the end/aftermath:
They find out Yvonne is evil and defeat her, the Emporer was killed by Yvonne, the second Prince and Queen sided with Yvonne so they were also defeated, Penelope is safe and has a chance to go back to her world but decided to stay with callisto (they have a bunch of lovey-dovey moments), Callisto becomes Emperor, Penelope ends up with Callisto and they get married even though Penelope literally rejects him a bunch of times lol. Eclise which was literally the main reason of the problem (but that was since he was brainwashed by Yvonne) and became like the biggest yandere I have ever seen, goes missing and is pressured dead, but in reality, he just got amnesia and was wondering as a mercanary when two years later he runs into Penelope and gets a longing/de ja vu feeling so he acts as a secret/hidden knight, protecting her from monsters without her knowledge for the next three years. When they meet again (this is before the marriage between the Prince), Penelope says that they hated each other and he should leave her (he does not believe Penelope tho, but ends up leaving)., Callisto and Penelople have a daughter named Judith
how the Penelope and Callisto got married (this was pretty funny) - they were basically having a long distance relationship for the next 5 years after defeating Yvonne bc Penelope wants to travel and do archeology and like at Callisto's birthday she becomes really drunk when she kind of...um...how do i say this...attacks Callisto (he also goes along with it) and becomes pregnant, so now their long engagement finally advanced into a marriage (HORAAYYY!!!)

Also, Judith, her daughter with Callisto finds a piece of the mirror (so basically this mirror was what evil Yvonne used/caused Penelope to go into the game) that was hidden away and it sends her back to Korea where she was previously in a coma with stomach cancer, and sees that her original dad and brothers are desperately trying to cure her/realize their mistakes. She goes back and they beg for her forgivness, but being the queen she is does not forgive her years of abuse, and she lives happily ever after with Callisto and her children.
