please this is what I hate about romance manhwas.... THE GODDAMN CRAZY READERS. y'all realize we literally know NOTHING about this girl, and youre calling her things like "b*tch" or "home wrecker." stop jumping to conclusions and enforcing toxic mindsets lmao

I honestly don't care if you do think the girl is going to end up disrupting the story and them, because let's face it, that's the typical trope. however! the way people approach it... is disgusting. you can't think of a calmer way to predict what she's going to do than curse her out and slutshame her? but yup probably LMAO

I mean I bitch shame men..gays and everyone too lmao. I feel the term has loss its meaning and intent as time progresses...
Nonetheless...I do feel bitter seeing homwreckers in manga because I was one of the indirect victim of such events. I hope no child and family have to go through that. The pain of betrayal is incomprehensible. It took me years to finally trust and forgive that person.
I hope the lady above no try anything extreme haha because I probably couldn't stop myself from cursing

that's not the issue here ^^ understanding the past will show you the negative connotations of the word used in this situation. it's like saying you can use a slur if you use it to address everyone. you cannot erase its history :)
im sorry that happened to you! but the concept of "homewrecking" has no relevance here. it's more like people are using it as justification for their actions. there is a serious issue in the media with portraying characters like this, aka the "flashy, manipulative female character" who is designed for everybody to hate on her and love the MC. the fact of the matter is that we have not seen a single thing about her yet, but there's a reason why everybody assumes she's a "home wrecker." sort of a subtle internalized misogyny kind of thing! apologies if any of this is hard to decipher, it's 4 am for me >-<

Of course. I didn't specify but of course it would be wrong to use nigger, negros, dumb, retard even though the word loss its real meaning and has been diluted over the years. But I would just like to point out that the people in this comment section all hate and express their disappointment at this trope because precisely she is about to engage in homewrecking. When you try to sabotage and insert yourself in a relationship, thus you are a homewrecker and some had to call her a homewrecker or a bitch which I candone in this case. I know what the author is going for already. Most of us did not judge from her physical appearance but some joked about her hair because there was a trope in Chinese mangas of homewreckers having purple hair.
We have seen though. She explicitly said she see you again meaning she has planned to insert herself in the future and the fact she gloomily stared at the couple escaping already foreshadow author's intent. The thing is we hate easy in ficiton because characters are exaggerated.and yes there is a stigma with some people quick to slutshame independent, sophisticated women.
But we are here so quick to blame and judge because it is fiction and common tropes we know what is coming.
Online we rally great support for women. 'Gold Diggers' on shows like 90 days fiance are still defended because they are bad but they shouldn't be hated if they came with clear intentions and enter a relationship purely for transaction from both sides. So many people defend them. Even Anfisa is defended. People like Rose that came for a better life and to plan a family with a trash like Ed is massively supported. 'Manipulative' is also understood and emphasised.
I brought in my story not for pity hahaha. I am just pointing out why I might be hating on her as well because I people mentioned in spoilers and have already analysed from the chapters to know where this heading to. A story needs an antagonist and unfortunately she will be written that way to strengthen the main leads love as it has yet to developed. I just can't stand it. That is why I mentioned this because I can already see this and those who can't stand this foreshadowing to conflict will express their warning.
I find problems however with people blatantly hating on character that are innocent. I am usually indifferent but some people hating them. I dont understand.
And yes sorry for the long response. I didnt type up the first one in detail. However, I agree about our issues regarding labels and v8llifying of certain characters and physical description in our society of any gender.

please don't type out those slurs? idk why you acknowledged why it's not okay to use them and then used them.
right, but would you ever accuse a man of homewrecking? that's one of the huge problems people don't understand, if someone were to come in and succeed to "wreck" a relationship, which is what people usually imagine as one of the partners being "stolen away," IT'S NOT JUST THE HOMEWRECKER'S FAULT. while this isn't always the case, it's the traditional use and argument, which, again, is a huge source of why it's not okay to use in cases like this. if you understand the word, you understand why.
there are just too many goddamn negative connotations with the word to be able to justify its use.
just because it's online, doesn't mean you can react this way either. FICTION AFFECTS REALITY. IF YOU CHOOSE TO ACT LIKE THIS WITH FICTIONAL CHARACTERS, THAT PROVES THAT'S YOUR FIRST INSTINCT AND HOW YOU CHOOSE TO ACT IN YOUR MIND FOR EVERYTHING.
no matter what, the way people have chosen to call her these things and curse her out like this IS PROBLEMATIC, which is all I'm pointing out. even if people have experienced things like this in the past, it may explain how you react, but it definitely does not justify it.

When it happened in my family I hated both parties. I dont know why you think I would accuse only the woman. Why would you think everyone behaves that way. The people who wrecked my home was the people had the affair which in this case was both men and women. It is very personal. And the fact that you assumed I would only accuse the women hurt me. Every single night I hated women and men involved because they ruined the children of multiple families. They ruined my life and my brother's life, so why the heck would i blame only one?
And I am sorry you feel it was not right for me to include the slurs. I do not use them. I brought them up. Just like in class when we discuss about slurs, we bring them up as words themselves. I would never use it on a person. And since you and others might feel repulsed by my actions, I would have edited and censor but mango does not allow edit. I will keep in mind to not do this again
I only bring up my opinion and justify what I said. If you don't agree it is fine. I only found my first reply lacking which is I had to elaborate on it. Nonetheless...
Nevermind... it doesn't change a thing

And to finish this off, I was curious about how the usage of this word in lectures/essays or academically. I am southeast Asian, I tried my best to understand problems in different countries. As part of the race and skin color that is discriminated against outside and within my own race, I try my best to speak against racism too. However, I am ignorant on certain aspects of this issue especially using this word academically. I am not a professor, lecturer and hence this bringing up this word to you might be offensive. Thus I apologise for that. Not once was I trying to be rude and trying to attack you. I was trying my best to relay my option and elaborate on my previous response to stop any misunderstanding of my words which only fuel more argument. I shouldn't have said anything in the first place.
This only a food for thought and I am not trying to discredit you in any sense. Because I acknowlged that my actions cast doubt and repulsion in your mind and other's.

Stockholm University Professor of Linguistics Lars Melin told University World News: “From my linguistic perspective, it is easy to see that more and more people believe that words possess magical powers. They can be in the service of the good, for example, the new unisex pronoun hen claims to seriously make us more equal [in Swedish ‘he’ is han, ‘she’ is hun and hen is the new sexually neutral word proposed].
“But usually the words are in the service of evil. The ‘n-word’ opens for apartheid, Ku Klux Klan and lynching.
“This is pure nonsense, but the believers are becoming more and more aggressive. Strangely, they care more about the words than the well-being of black people.”
Commenting on the issue, Lena Adamson, associate professor of psychology at Stockholm University, told University World News: “In the 1960s and 1970s the engagement of students and their activism was directed towards war and injustice in the world. Today this is mostly directed inwards towards academia, in my view in a devastating and unacademic egocentrism.”

Nonetheless, have a good day.

I wasn't talking just about your experience! sorry, I was speaking in general. I have no idea what happened in your case and I would not try to pretend I did. I gave that as an example because that's what most people think of "homewreckers" as. like, in every case, it's almost the exact same rumors that are spread about women. if a girl hangs out with a guy, she'll be accused of that and trying to break up the relationship, which would basically never happen for men doing the same thing.

SPOILERS MAYBE?!
I dont really think i was mysogynistic luv. When we first got to see her I had my suspicions but I didn’t really call her any bad name or reacted that bad lol. Though, trespassing into someone’s home is really bad and you could se that she didn’t really have any good intentions.
THEN later she really showed her true colors. She literally acted like she owned him or sum like bruuuh. THEN she attempted to murder our main lead?! I don’t think my dislike towards her was really questionable babe<3
Yeah she might be mentally ill however what she did was still bad and I am not going to “act” like I like her or sum.
Someone who is misogynistic is a person who hates women or strongly prejudiced against women. I do not hate women I hate THIS women though because of her actions and I never called her bad names or so I recall. I would still dislike her if she was a man or whatever she would identify as lol.
Think before you speak hehe ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
Bro I said so much yikes
THEYRE SO CUTE, I LOVE THAT UME'S FINALLY GOTTEN SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS HER TOO ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
