In my opinion, yes they are. Of course I can't blame them for the trauma but they have always been ignoring their trust issues when it comes to others and not the royals. They have the mindset of a 25 year old so I was thinking why they don't understand their situation? They should kniw already what tbey were into and take into account Ishina's advices. I can't put up with their foolishness anymore but I'm still sticking on the story because I wanted more development. Or maybe tbe reason is that they unconsciously adapted on their five year old bodies or they are just that stupid and not understanding.
i have a different opinion. first the died when they were teenagers so not really mindset of 25 year olds. Secondly, this is a new world and they don't understand how it works and what people are like since, ever since they were born, they were locked away with an abusive mother and no one to take care of them. Honestly the reason they are probably so distrustful is because they don't know how things work in this new world and before they can really ask anyone, they are told what they are required to do as royals or smth happens. They just met Ishina and they don't really know her but they feel trusting of Riolou because they think he is in a similar situation as them and he would know what it feels like to be a bastard child. When they were meeting with the other kid, he acted just like the adults did just because they are not full royals yet it does not change the fact that they aren't royals. The twins most likely have a distrust towards the adults in this world because the only adults that they have encountered in this new world so far have either ignored their existence for their whole lives, discriminates against them, or abuses them. They are only now trying to trust people but because of misunderstandings they are closing thmeselves off again.

I wish mangago would let you like peoples replys, this is what I also understood from it. So many people think that their mental age should be that of the two ages combined, but it makes sense to me that their thoughts and stuff is that of abused kids who happen to also have some knowledge, and understanding of concepts from when they were once teenagers, believing this makes their desion making skills that of what they percieve their age to be.

This is also a good reason. But anyway, this is my opinion and we all know that we have different opinions so I'm respecting yours. I'm waiting for some kind of development to happen to the twins since they are still adapting to their new environment but what infuriates me is their understanding to the people around them.
Thats fair, we're reading the same story but we can draw diffrent things from it. It's why I like the comments afterwards since I can see how others have seen it, and reply with what I got from it, it gets frusting when so many comments seem to say the same thing when I've seen a diffrenet way to view it, so expanding on a way in which I and some others have seen differently could help start interesting conversations and stuff. But your right that we still need to be respectful of diffrent opinions and sometimes if expanded on the other person could bring something intersting thoughts up
(Also sorry if this gets confusing as I'm having trouble remebering names at the moment) I do agree that how they see the people around them is a bit frustrating, for example they trusted the head maid to explain things to them, but not think to much about what she said in regards to the evil guy.
I kind of hope that even though the green haird guy with the scar is being used by evil guy, he'll enjoy being the twin and liking them enough to turn on evil guy before it's too late and we have to deal with the you decived us we can't trust you drama when everyone reading knows they've changed already, though there are times where it works, it ussually feels extra in alot of stories
Yes yes! I totally get you! This is what I want to say but can't explain well. There is also the thing about the third brother who dotes on them and the second brother who cares for them. Maybe they just don't see how important and precious they are to them? Or maybe they were so paranoid that they don't want to see things in a new perspective? Or maybe it's a thing that has developed since they were born on that world?
There's so many things to discuss and hypothesize and questions that I want to be answered.
I also get the feeling about how the other comments get's redonedunt, as if they were just copying other's opinion and joining a bandwagon instead of saying their own thoughts. And also, I do hope the guy with scar would change his frozen heart.
For the brothers there are a few diffrent things it could be, but I think that since they're not use to open affection they don't know what to think about it/how to deal with it, or if they should trust it, though I do think the twins are starting to open up with their siblings, its slow going, and the confusion on how they should view their actions slows down the bonding even more

Story is very intriguing, both opposing parties have their own story and mc is not that typical *me gonna go with the flow bc I have learned this otome and will destroy the flags* Anyway, worth reading♡
