Hey everyone! Reminder that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and is free to express their disinterest or dislike of something. People often continue reading something bad in hopes that it’ll get better, and if it doesn’t they usually drop it. Of course, sending threats to a creator is never okay, but just remember that everyone is allowed to have and share their own opinion whether you agree with it or not.
Hi! I’m posting this link to a fanfic of a yaoi that I believe is similar to this one but I find that yaoi more revolting. I harbor no resentment whatsoever to the author of cumming in your bone. This is a fanfic of a popular fanfic and realizing the toxicity of it. I chose this box it seems to be reflective of this romance. Let’s keep in mind what may seem good is not healthy

Sorry use this link. It’s a five part series
Why is everyone so obsessed with who is top and who is bottom. Who cares?
exactly its just fetishy and weird. why is everything about seggs, cant they just enjoy a cute relationship between boys?
I was just excited to share my spoilers and all, I don't actually think it matters ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Plus this is a fictional couple. If I saw people debating who tops/bottoms within an irl couple they're not part of, I'd slap them on the spot. That shit is nobody's business but the couple's.
This is fiction though, and it's fun to see how author goes along with or varies from expectations/tropes.
Right?? Wasn’t even on my mind when reading the latest chapter.
It may be fiction but it doesn't make it any less weird. Especially knowing that majority of the bl audience is female it feels very weird and fetishy. This is the kind of thing that gay men talk about when they say women reading bl makes them uncomfortable.
Sharing spoilers is fine, since it's something that is actually happening but debating on the position two characters take in bed it really weird. regardless of if its fictional or not.
Listen, all I'm saying is I personally was talking about it with regards to the character dynamic tropes. I know some people may mean it fetishy, not denying that, just explaining my own commentary. The spoilers I happen to have, the only ones I can find cuz they're no longer in order, happen to be from future chapters - where the two have clearly done it. So my spoiler discussion was colored by that fact. And as I said about character dynamic tropes - what I most notable about the couple is that neither falls into the pitfall of being super "feminine" since a lot of yaoi tend to make one of the guys super feminine or petite to basically act like a woman in a gay relationship which doesn't make any sense. Cuz it's two men. But even then, Doyun has pink hair and is more vocal with his emotions, yet he wasn't placed into the (BY YAOI STANDARDS, NOT MY IRL OPINION) """feminine""" role in the couple. I just like that for them a lot, that they don't fall into the common pitfalls.
Again, this is all to explain myself because I don't like when I'm misunderstood, even if your comment wasn't just at me. As said, and now explained, I was talking about fictional story dynamics, which in no way reflects irl couples, because there's no author depicting two men a certain way - just men dating other men. By nature it's different, cuz there's no female writer for an IRL couple.
Hope this clarifies that I didn't want to fetishize them with my commentary. I read a lot of yaoi cuz I'm sick of heteronormativity and also straight-man geared writing, which many hentai and yuri tend to be.
