Ugh i am the only one who dislike this, its so confusing and repetitve, the characters dont have any development or depth, thw dialogue is too confusing, it aint bad but why its so popular
A story is as popular as the buzz and talking that provokes. The haters make this story popular as much as the people who like it.
As someone else already said it, it is so popular because even people who don't like it can't stop gravitating around it, like you and the readers who say they 'dropped it' but know exactly what is happening in the story.
This is a story of almost 70 chapters. Unless the person is actually following it, they can't know if it's repetitive, if the characters had no development, etc.
If all the readers who proclaim they 'dropped' it or that they dislike it just ignored the story or didn't make up for half of the people talking about it, I doubt POTN would be this 'popular' and readers would feel this urge to be around just because everyone else is reading.
i guess the story is popular bc the art is really pretty. i, too dropped the story for several chapters before i decided to read it bc im curious about the character development. but if u really dont like it u can just drop it. after all we are reading from illegal web so we dont really have any rights to criticize the author's work yk
I think it's popular because of these reasons:
1- Both of the characters are incredibly good looking, like when you see Seungho at the cover you will obviously click
2- The storyline is actually really original if I’m not wrong
3- A lot of people are suckers for the 18+ scenes, and the book has a lot of them.
4- The art is amazing
I’m in like the 23rd episode and I like it so far although Seungho is annoying asf and what he did in the 21st episode was seriously wrong. I think the manga is nice, toxic characters will always exist and in this one it's Seungho
I think 50% of readers of POTN are people who only hang around the comments and the story because they want to be in the crowd. This is a bigger mystery that a simple thought on why people may like the story.
Ironically they don't realize that they too help creates the hype that they say they don't understand.
There are people here who, according to them, 'dropped' the story but you see their comments regularly and they clearly know what is going on in the story. So much for dropping it if they still 'read' it by proxy.
I think the most interesting question is why so many people who never liked the story, or that 'dropped' it or that don't like the genre hang around POTN and feel this urge, this pathological need to keep up with the story just to trash it.
It makes so much sense to ignore, not waste time or really dropped it. Humans are weird sometimes and this phenomenon of participating in something with their opinion just because it's popular is one of the weirdest.
I’ve been here since this manhwa was only like a few weeks old and I personally dunno why there is so much hate for it :/ people become so impatient abt the plot but the characters are actually acting accordingly to their character settings and that’s actually a big plus for me. It’s not the most fluffy, definitely, but hey there are thousands of other fluffy bls out there for yall to choose from. Don’t expect everything to be all sunshine and rainbows.
lmao ur logic is so off. she doesnt like the story and wonders why it gets more popular by the day. and not just her but this also applies many other potn readers. you guys dont like the story fine, u guys complain y its so popular but u guys come back each time it gets updated. this is where ur logic falls short, her comment was a one time thing, i stated something along the lines of « y do u read it if u dislike it » which is an appropriate outcome possibility. like dude if u dislike a matter sm then y do u keep coming back n inflicting a negative feeling upon urself.
« if you don’t like her comment then don’t read it » idk what kind of super power u got there to read without.. reading?
i suggested to refrain from reading potn if she doesnt like or find it appropriate. i didnt hold a gun at het face and threaten her. suggesting a logical solution (unliked urs abt me reading the comment) isnt being pressed.
laslty, if u do choose to reply then feel free to argue/talk to urself. i wont be elaborating any further
We get it you don't like it I’m not a huge fan either but what gives you the right to call someone's work, something they clearly put effort into “trash”. It's not like the author is directly saying Seungho’s behaviour is okay (if that's why you dislike it). Literally go get a life and stop being so butthurt over this manga.
Tokyo ghoul better than attack on tittan
you cannot really compare stuff like this though. as both have some small similarities, but go in complete different ways and have a whole own universe to themselves. you can only rate these stuff individually. was attack on titan a worthwile experience or not? and how good was it? and the same for tokyo ghoul. it is like comparing how much you like chips and fries.....both similar, but complete different experiences...
Huh calm down idk abt oficcial translation or whatever i just tried my best with the translation
You literally changed your name from Kaneki. We talked about this with you already in Legs that can't walk. Stop uploading comics that have official translations. You say you don't know anything about that but it's clear that there are chapters that are officially and say LEZHIN on them.ise your translation on comics that don't have official versions and have been dropped instead of these. You're not helping anyone this way. By uploading ahead of the official ones and POSTING YOUR TIKTOK you're getting the artists to take notice of the website again. They don't want thism the official artists and authors have already said CLEARLY they do not want you uploading translations of their office comics that are licensed. So stop. You can post links to your translations in the comments but not on the website.
It's not, "sis". His name is Hwan not Dwanah, and there's multiple sentences that don't even make sense. For example : "Was it the last time you came on a picnic in High School?". Makes no sense.
Its fine to translate work but it wasn't even necessary in this case, at all, and was done without permission. Don't act so cocky towards others who are bringing up important points, when you were in the wrong.
Guys I will translate all the other 6 chapters now and then post it tomorrow at the end of day or middle day idk
Many people don’t know about a webtoon artist or author’s source of income and it could also just be a hobby of theirs to draw and write webtoons. Getting paid for it is just a bonus if it’s their hobby. But you will notice that there are many uploaders that place the notice: ♡PLEASE SUPPORT THE AUTHOR ON LEZHIN IF YOU CAN♡ (Hearts to make it look friendlier) or they will just leave the Lezhin logo (the dog with the name under it) at the bottom of each chapter. You can tell that this was done in the official translations (previous chapters before Black Reaper took over) and the author’s name is on many of Chiwoo’s sweatshirts (not to mention if you go to Love Shuttle I guarantee that the boxes say Lezhin where the MC works and a few of the companies and hospitals in some of the Lezhin comics are called “Lezhin” something or other) so I don’t think the uploaders thought about giving much credit because of how much author and website placement there is in the comics. Also, considering that you are reading what the uploader is posting, doesn’t that make you part of the guilty party and a hypocrite for saying such things?
I am here exactly for the reason like this. A lot of people here actually don't know it's an illegal website. They don't know they are harming the author - or like this translator here, they don't get why posting unofficial translation to an official title is worse than just posting rips. I mostly like to check last updates section here, that's all.
I'll have to agree with that. Ppl like to assume that those of us who are here just read everything illegally, but no. I also buy most comics I read, if they have an official English translation. It's harder for those without one, because sometimes getting raws is a pain in the ass. I still try though, but I realize it's far from perfect.
I still personally appreciate the uploaders, as long as they're not posting ahead of official translations, because that's how I found out about most websites/apps and comics in the first place. Also, it helps if you're broke at the moment, but you can still read and then simply buy the comics later. I did that and I know many others who did as well.
And definitely appreciate those that are doing hard work translating unofficial titles. I hope it helps them gain popularity enough to get officially translated.
Oh yeah, and another reason for my love of using mangago is actually the fact that you can review comics and read other people's reviews. Wish official sites had that option too, because it's a huge help.
The new chapter is so ass im sorry, like wtf
