Characters can't live if the plot doesn't give them room to grow. All of the characters are flawed because of that, but I personally keep reading because I do want to know how it ends. Storytelling is hard, and I want to appreciate the story the author has to tell. It does feel dragged and it's not my favorite kind of story, but there has to be some kind of appreciation there for people doing things I could never do.

Um... is it just me or does anyone else think a drama adaptation would just ruin the story? I don't think the director would keep everything the same. I want to respect that it is an adaptation and not a retelling, but it hurts to see a good story get butchered up.

I mean yeah since they'd change some of the parts and I'd be sad abt it too since I LOVEEEEEE this so much and I wouldn't dare to overlook something in this story but in the end it's still the same story and it would really bring some of us happiness like me if they do bc that means it's getting the recognition it deserves and seeing this in a live version will make my heart go poof, butterflies would be on my stomach</3

I want the recognition for the author because she deserves it! Love her other work too! Just that personally I feel like an adaptation would not do the story justice and I probably won't enjoy it. So many things come to play too with an adaptation. What if the cast can't capture the characters well too? @.@ Just me over analyzing lol

And I love her other work too XD and ye almost every adaptation really doesn't do the original webtoon or novel justice since when you already read the original's it would feel different as they would have left out many scenes out and add some new scenes as well. I'm fine with that but again it just feels different when your read the original:))

Well I actually like how messed up this is. Sometimes you live in so much corruption that you grow used to it, and letting go of it seems even more unbearable than living with it. So glad the plot went down that road, because it makes it so much more interesting and memorable. So he says, he will taint the seme as much as he has been tainted.
I like my tea bitter. :D
Shin's love for the king and his desire for a peaceful kingdom... I don't necessarily think the king needs to produce an heir, but I see Shin's last suggestion as an attempt to wedge himself away from his recently discovered desires to have the king all to himself. His original goal was creating a benevolent king, and slowly he finds himself becoming conceited, thinking that the sun only basked on him when he knows it doesn't. I can't help but love Shin's character!
