It boggles my mind how anyone can swoon over such a creepy dirtbag like this guy, but then, I'm not a woman and I don't swing that way. I guess it takes a certain kind of mentality to like a guy who forces his attention on a woman who has clearly rejected him, even going so far as to attempt to kiss her while she's asleep. What next? Rape her while she's asleep and get her pregnant? I wouldn't put it past him.
With regard to Aiden, most of Alice's suffering is her own doing since she seems to be stuck in the "Why won't he confess to me? Doesn't he know how I feel about him?" mindset instead of telling him how she feels about him, herself. Like I said before, "Like most ordinary guys, even thinking that a young, phenomenology gorgeous girl ten years younger than himself would even look his way is unimaginable."
Even if Aiden does finally become aware of his feelings for Alice, it's doubtful that he would ever act on them since he can't believe she'd feel the same way toward him. So, they will be at a stalemate, neither being able to confess to the other, a stalemate that will only end when a miracle happens.
I would have to guess that Alice was not the one who asked her college classmate to be her boyfriend, since she seems incapable, at least with Aiden, of doing so. But now that the ex has returned, he certainly seems to have shaken up Alice's emotions. He obviously still has a thing for her, and she still seems to have a thing for him. And, for sure, the ex chose that design studio because she works there. As a rival, Aiden can't compare. He's just a plain, ordinary salaryman whereas the ex is a handsome, successful internationally renown furniture designer who would make a perfect match for Alice.
@Noooo In case chapter 94.5 (titled "End of a Chapter") never gets uploaded, the gist of the chapter (which I read on lezhin): Jinha goes to the birthday party very gaudily made up and looking very much like a silly young schoolgirl, and proceeds to embarrass and humiliate the jerk in front of his two friends. She even gives him a pile of cheap mini-cakes and, best of all, gives him a "Paper Doll Dress Up" book as a present.
I generally do not read stories with master/servant relationships, nor with supernatural or fantasy elements, and I am even less likely to rate a series a perfect 10. However, despite including a couple of my personal pet peeves, I cannot help but give this series top honors. From the point of view of the romance enthusiast, it is just that good. The author has done an extraordinary job of infusing the characters with emotions: joy, sadness, pain, suffering, jealousy, heartache and, of course, love are all vividly portrayed. The chemistry between the two very likeable leads is what drives the story to its immensely satisfying conclusion. It was certainly worth every penny I spent to read it on lezhin, and I would gladly buy a hardcopy if it was ever printed in English.

As of chapter 24, be prepared for some heart-breaking drama since both Alice and Aiden are denser than a lump of coal.
It's not looking good for Shiho. The other childhood friend is obviously interested in becoming more than just friends with Yul, and since she won't accept Shiho's confession, the other childhood friend has a good shot at becoming her boyfriend. I won't be surprised if Shiho simply gives up on Yul after seeing how she gets along with the other childhood friend. It's probably a good time for Shiho to find himself a girlfriend who will accept him for who he is instead of being treated as a dog on a leash.
Tho I think yul also likes shiho, there just both idiots that they dont realize each others true feelings ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
Well, I agree that Yul is an idiot for the way she's been treating Shiho's confessions for 10 years, but I think she knows that he's really in love with her. How could she not? She, on the other hand, doesn't seem to realize how much she would miss him if he actually got another girlfriend. That's just my take on it but maybe she really wouldn't care and would be glad that he doesn't bother her anymore. Now that a real potential rival for Shiho has appeared, we'll find out just how much Yul cares (or doesn't care) for her current relationship with Shiho.
