some yaoi's are actually really REALLY good if it wasn't for the fact that some author's feel the need to sprinkle on rape, which sometimes doesn't even do anything for the character development or the plot. They literally just put it in there for what?? and then they make the mc forgive them in like a snap of a finger?? it's so frustrating. I have read SO many good stories where it could have been even better if it weren't for those type of scenes.

I think it's about the bubble/orbit of the work, the market of it and a cultural difference.
I Was watching a researcher talking about how cultures and languages reflect on the comics
What configures r*pe in their countries? Who is writing those plots what's their age/gender?
market: those comics sell, people read them, they pay for chapters(web comics style) and books.
The bubble/orbit whose works are those authors reading? What movies animes TV shows other media at all are they consuming? If they only read their colleagues works where the spark of creativity would come from?
You said yaoi(a Japanese term but I'm just generalizing BL M/M comics from asia)
It's sad but unless there's more discussion on the topic on the coutries producing those comics(mostly Japan, China and South Korea) these authors are just trying to pay their bills writing what's popular, both them and their audience need to change

Istg I will never understand people who love to read angst (Including myself).
WHY DO WE LOVE TO READ STORIES WITH ANGST.
IT HURTS LIKE HELL. IT BRINGS US PAIN SO WHY.

according to a theory i once read its partly because you can let those feelings out by reading angsty stuff. you purge yourself of your negative emotions and feel lighter and better afterwards. angsty stuff also makes you feel better because you compare your circumstances with the angsty circumstances and feel thankful and positive because your situation is most likely better in comparison.

Anyone knows that kuroken fan fic where kuro slowly dies and the process of it was really heartbreaking and after he does. They had a whole funeral and kenma had a speech (which left me bawling my eyes out) and Before kuro died ( i think ) he told kenma he left something for him in their room. And i forgot the rest :T

Not that one but i still loved and cried about that fic
(╥﹏╥) it was one where at the first 2 they we're happy then 3 kuro was diagnosed with something after that everything was just pain. At the near end like i said, they had a funeral and kenma had this whole speech. And then yeah.... I forgot (╥﹏╥) I NEED TO FINDDDDDDD IT
Can anyone recommend me romcoms like The love Hypothesis? Not necessarily like the plot but like Ali's writing style and her leading men's. (Basically obsessed leads. But in a good way, and NOT psychopathically obsessed)
