I think that Jaeha was kind of shocked, not because of what she was saying but the fact that finally he heard something he has always know from someone he actually loved and cared. I mean, maybe I'm not making so much sense here, but he's a very complex characther, with so many issues and the fact that he always feel it that he can't really fill someone expectations about him, his biggest fear was actually confirmed and that kind of thing cornered him now. When she said that "don't make the exact same thing with the person you're dating" I think it's a trigger for him, the fact that he can actually lost someone for good if he doesn't do something about it.
In a way, he really should feel thankful with Hyesun because it's like "ey, yeah, I know I've always been such a pain but thank you for telling me because now maybe I should do something about it, right?" It was her roll in Jaeha's life, being that slap on his face, his wake up call.

He has always know that he was such a pain but by the wrong reason... like he said for example, to Eunho "I'm doing this because I don't want to hurt you" it's just "I'm doing this because I'm weak and I could get hurt with avoiding to hurt you".

It's a complex story with a very complex character IMO. Jaeha has this internal struggle since he was a young boy, the fact that he likes man along with the homophobic tendences of his father and how much that has affected him...how he was treated by the person he thought he loved, is what has shaped his personality. No wonder he treated Hanjun the way he did... and how cruel he were with Eunho in first season, not to mention the failure of his poor attempt to be normal, his marriage and how he failed patetically. It's not easy for him admit that he's gay, and yet he can love and be loved because it's not wrong at all. But his father left on him a deep mark and his terrible love experiences. Eunho is the cure for all that, a love that it's so pure and honest. It's not going to be an easy road because... SPOILERS
Eunho will come back in season two, with resentment at the surface, but seeing the latest raws I think he will give one more chance to Jaeha, I think it'll depend on him as well.
