Novel reader here, initially the seme did seem like scum but we later find out the reasons behind his actions and everything and I feel really bad for this couple QAQ.
Basically the seme is an actually fortune teller of sort. Initially the relationship between the seme and uke was all fine, both happy in love. Until one day check the uke's (or was it the seme's ?) fortune and finds out that uke will die because of seme. So seme tried many ways to break up with uke, uke was not willing and honestly seme wasn't willing either so it dragged on.
And then seme was out drinking with some guys, so-called buddies of his. One of the guy used seme's phone to send uke a message and later deleted it. The uke waited for seme the whole night due to the message and ended up dying. The saddest part was the early next morning seme does go to the station (where the uke was waiting) and seme did plan on going to uke despite saying he won't go but he later decided not to. If only that shitty guy didn't message uke with seme's phone that seme will come, uke might not have waited and might have lived.
Sob sob. Uke was even going to go heaven/disappear which was later prevented due to the system. Uke becomes a super powerful ghost and stays together with seme. The misunderstanding gets cleared of course due to the uke accidentally finding the paper and things seme used to tell the fortune.

No matter how scheming he seems to be, he sure did like Maomao's mother a lot. If we say it was because she was the only one whose face he could see, then after the face became destroyed with her nose cut off, shouldn't one be disgusted or frightened by that face? He doesn't seem to mind it and in his eyes she's still the beautiful self she was before.
About her being pregnant with Maomao, she was willing and its most likely she was the one who plotted for it, as Maomao said. Her father didn't have any choice when leaving for the battlefield and didn't know that he would be return only after 3 years. And he didn't know he had a child until much later so he can't be faulted much.
I wish that Maomao's mother is able to survive and have a happy life with Maomao's father.
Ngl, except for the nii-san and FL's friend that's in the basketball club, everyone else has some problems.
I loved the FL until her involvement with Kaito, the guy who dated her club senpai. I didn't like that FL decided to be with Kaito. It's a third party behavior. FL's all ex bfs disgust me.
Hikaru, who cheated then tried to be with FL only to break up with her for another girl,
Nozomu, who also cheated on FL since he kissed another girl while dating FL. I felt so bad for FL here. I also hate the other girl because she ended up dating Nozomu in spite of knowing that he cheated on his gf with her. It wasn't her fault initially since she didn't know but I still disliked her idk why. But of course I hated Nozomu much more.
Kaito was also horrible. I can't believe Saori was ok with his womanizing ways. I also hate we couldn't see him repenting or regretting.
Oh I guess FL's male friend Hiro was also ok. Her female friend, the girl who wanted to run away and make guys pay the bill at Karaoke wasn't that good but I hope she stays with the Senpai.
The best character's (morally) were FL's black haired friend and her nii-san. Both were super good. I liked FL's character except she's too forgiving and accepted to be a third party in Saori and Kaito's relationship. I liked her more when she rejected Kaito on the grounds he was dating Saori.
I read this novel and it's superb! Xiao Feilu is awesome and the ML is also super nice!
The eldest princess, eldest prince, crown prince, other princess younger than Feilu and Lin Zhanyuan are all good people.
Ps. Eldest princess marries a good husband and the eldest prince also ends up with a good girlie from the Jianghu. The crown prince becomes emperor. Xiao Feilu becomes the Empress of Song Kingdom (ML's country where he becomes the emperor).

From what one comment said about ML losing his memory, and his mother wanting to separate ML and FL to let him be with the villainess, it remind me of a BL novel.
The ML (seme) in it also lost his memory after saving the MC (uke). The ML's mother introduced a girl to ML saying she was his fiancee and that ML loved her very much. MC who was hospitalized until this point barges in at this point but couldn't say anything iirc. MC was about to leave disappointed but ML yelled at his mother, calling her a liar and that even though he remembered nothing, he remembers that he loves Chu Qin (MC)
