You know I think Ella is a part of the royal family. The Duke once said that Ella's hair was of the same color as the pretty trash crown prince. Plus she also has a special power to be able to see where the magic stones are located in a monster.
I hate the Emperor but I also disliked Theon. Like I get why he's mad at Ethan and all but the way he took on Ethan indirectly by hurting Dorothea was horrible.
He was the one who deceived her first. If only he hadn't kept it a secret that he was only with her to be close to Ray in the name of "not hurting" Dorothea as she truly loved Theon. In the end, didn't he hurt her in order to get revenge on Ethan? He knew that Dorothea didn't kill Julia nor did she order anyone to and yet?
If only Theon wasn't the only one to help/care for Dorothea (except for her brother) then she wouldn't have been so obsessed with him. Ethan was there too, but he wasn't the first and so Dorothea believed he was with her for power and authority.
Let's be fr - Everyone loved the Second ML over the ML. One of the mangas where the FL should really really really should've ended up with the SML.

(Excluding the FL) Among the character, I like Gert the most, obviously. Followed by Saiyan, who seemed annoying at first meeting but I just found him pitiful after that. Unfortunately I don't like the Red Haired girl or the 3rd princess so far.
Reddie doesn't take a single opinion of FL's into consideration and just bothers FL all the time. As an introvert, she's one of the people I dislike the most. Especially since she even forcefully changed FL's single room into a shared room.
For a similar reason, I also disliked the original heroine aka the 3rd princess. On top of being forceful and not caring about others opinions, she didn't even know her brother like wtf was that? She's too ignorant I would say.
The poison girlie doesn't have enough significance as of yet or rather she didn't bother me as much compared to the other two. Maybe because none of her tricks work on FL and she didn't cause FL or anyone else any harm (If we ignore stalking the professor). I still don't like her obsession though.
Among the female characters, FL, her nanny and Titi perhaps, are the only ones I like. The male characters, on the other hand, are much more wonderful imo. Starting from the socially dumb Beast King (Gert), The tsundere prince with an inferiority complex (Saiyan), the Professor who commits suicide in the original story (He's hot), to the Dean/Professor who makes the FL bow 90° (He's really hot. Like him a lot. ) FL's father and little brother are also really funny characters. I laughed so loudly when their scene appeared.
Damn I'm only in ch 15 and I already hate Ruka so fucking much.
She's like a "I'm not like other girls". Like the way she thought "See all feminine girls scream when they see a frog" after FL screamed upon seeing a frog. She's like I'm not feminine like her blah blah. Also the way she said "We two are not the same. I'm beaten by my violent father. That's why I get to say Violence is bad" when ML said that Ruka and FL were same as they both told ML violence is bad. Like unless you are abused, you can't say violence is bad ?
She's also so annoying. Sneaky little B. Urgh.
Just read ch 68 and super happy with how things were going between ML and FL until the last page of ch 68 showed Ruka. I literally had to stop reading for 2 minutes to take deep breaths and calm myself so I could continue reading, while bracing myself for whatever Ruka might do.
Finally finished it. Yeah even till the end I hated Ruka. Sure, she's pitiful for having a bad family. But that's all. She's like woe is me. The way she told FL that FL was lucky to have a good life was as if FL was at a fault to not suffer like she did. That was nasty.
As someone who also has horrible parents, maybe not as horrible as Ruka, but still horrible, I can tell you I don't blame anyone for being happy or for not suffering. Plus, I'm also their age so they can't use being young as an excuse.
Finally, I would like to say how surprised I was that I didn't dislike FL's character. Initially, I thought she would be like those girls who think everything's all bright and sunshine, and that she would cry often unreasonably and be all weak and all, always needing protection etc etc. But she surprisingly wasn't. Sure she was weak but she's also kinda strong. Mentally I mean. I also love how she helps people whenever they get injured, even to strangers, even to people she was scared of (Talking about ML's brother, Subaru and Subaru's lil bro) She also apologized to Subaru for reminding him of his trauma and also on behalf of ML. She supported ML's decisions about his future from beginning to end. When ML didn't want to go to uni, FL didn't force ML to go there saying it would be good for his future etc etc. And when ML decided to go uni, one in a different city, FL didn't stop/discourage him despite her loneliness.
Hana is literally an angel. She deserves the world I would say. Best character in the manga. It's not like Hana had an easy life. But her difficulties were downplayed so much because of ML's family situation and even Ruka's family situation. Hana literally had to be like an adult despite being a child. She had to look after a kid even tho she's still in school. And that's not an easy task I tell you. I love that she never felt as though she was an outsider in her family due to her step mom and half brother. I've read novels/mangas where characters tend to feel that way even if that was not what the parents wanted.
I don't think beauty and ugly are reversed in that world. It's more like the most plain people are the most beautiful. Cuz if it was the ugliest then people with deformed faces or huge cystic acnes and such would have been the most beautiful in their world.
Yup, plus the author's definition of plain/ugly are just small eyes and bad hairstyles.

Look it's cute and all, but wtf happened to the guy who supported Hotaru and was with her when she first met Riku? The one who was madly in love with Hotaru and took her side a bit too much?
Also, Chiaki and Riku's friendship was the BEST! Along with the relationship between Shingen and the two brothers (Riku and Rei)!
So I was reread several chs of this. I just have to say why are the men so goddamn fineee.
Starting from ML. Despite seeming like a brat at the beginning and at times, his childishness ended up being cute.
Then to the hottie 30 year old man, Kouya. Damn he was hot. Also his couple with Mahiro was super hot. They're the sexy couple type and I love it. And Kouya was surprisingly not as much of a playboy as I thought when he was first introduced.
Then to ML's brother. He's simply too kind iirc. Also, he's also quite good looking. No wonder ML was always jealous/wary of him. Especially in kimonos, he looks extra good. I'm glad he also ended up with a couple.
Then to the President of the rival hotel business. He became cute when he fell in love with FL. I also loved that he literally baked a cake for FL and all. His pair was unexpected but I'm glad he got his happy ending.
Finally, this guy was never a love interest of FL. It's the old butler Yoshitora. Damn he was good looking when young. I loved his pairing too. Unfortunately she died early or I would loved to see more these two together.
Ps. ML's father also looked fine as hell. Especially when he was young.
Finally I'll be ranking these men based on their looks according to my preference cuz why not?
