I'm in ch 19 and just thought why perhaps Noelle isn't affected by the damn bitvh saintess but the other wings are.
Perhaps tue saintess forcefully used some sort of black magic to make herself the "fake" saintess.
And the other wings are affected because they aren't strong enough and felt that this fake is the actual. But Noelle has stronger wings power so she wasn't affected.
Or the other wings are stronger and had a stronger bond to the saintess so they are bewitched but Noelle initially had a weak bond so she wasn't affected.
Either that happened, or two saintess are gonna rise and while Noelle is a wing, she's a wing of the saintess FL.
that def all makes sense but i think another thing is that the saintess used to be an actual yk, saintess until she greatly angered the dragon so and began abusing her power. then the wings that were to be found afterwards had a weaker bond/ no bond at all. from the spoilers i read, the *fake* saintess is brainwashing the wings to make them believe that she is the saintess, the only reason that noelle isn't affected by it because she is new and the brainwashing didn't work on her.
I asked a similar question before and have come to two theories. 1) a good portion of the “wings” are fake. They would’ve known mc was real if they saw her, like when they bullied her as a child, but since they didn’t then they’re fake. Noelle is the newest of the wings so she never actually saw mc until recently. 2) in the case of ahuin and maybe a few other real wings who haven’t seen mc directly, I assume it’s like a “she claims to be saintess so I believe her” kinda thing. The saintess position is supposed to be sacred to the point no one dares challenge her so even challenging a “fake” is a risk since no one anticipates it. The wings are also born so when they’re mind is set on the purpose of serving the saintess they follow the fake blindly because that’s what precedence told to them to do

as of right now ahuin is still being brainwash, but if he saw mc right now he will realise that the saintess is fake. noelle also in the past took a long time to realise that the real saintess is the mc but now that mc has the bracelet, it will make the other wings slowly to know that mc is the saintess as the brainwash that the fake saintess did is strong.
