Patiently waiting for this to reach the isekai romance arc lmao
For those curious *spoilers*
Basically after they clear this arc the next couple stages will be with a librarian magician and their task is for them to rewrite discontinued stories by going inside the story and changing the ending. First book they did was martial arts. ML is transported in the world of Murim where he becomes the discipline of the sword saint (sound like another popular novel if you’ve read it lol) the next is romance where the heretic inquisitor is the princess and the FL of the romance novel and our ML is her butler. It’s actually an important arc and our ML meets the villainess who is actually the FL of the actual story not the novel their in (yup there’s actual romance lol) but I can’t wait to see it drawn
Tbh I've seen the arguments and I understand why people are uncomfortable, it's unconventional, but imo based on the story line I don't see any problems. If the duke and duchess took Hari in but the only difference to the story is that they didn't legally adopt her, I bet a lot of ya'll would've stayed until the end.
1. it's incest
Incest was originally illegal bc inbreeding resulted in genetic defects. I personally have no problem bc they aren't blood related.
2. but they were raised as siblings
In both lives it was established that Eugene never thought of her as a sister. They were together as a "family" for about 1 and a half years and we're separated and barely communicated with each other for 6-7 years. They barely had any sibling bonds due to him stepping up as the duke in comparison with Erich and Cable. Their relationship imo is more of living in the same environment and growing up together like childhood friends. Also Hari liked Eugene in the first timeline as well, she just didn't realize it.
3. so you're undervaluing adoption
that's a fair point but did ya'll really think this was a true adoption? Sure on paper, but the sole purpose this girl was adopted was to keep the duchess's depression in check. This couple literally brought a random girl off the street home and told their grieving sons that this was their new sister out of the blue. It wasn't a decision made with thought it was one made with impulse and grief. If you were in that position, would you automatically accept that girl as your sister. I know I wouldn't. Just bc she got adopted, you can't force someone to treat them as a sibling.
4. what about family dynamics
spoiler alert.... Erich was secretly in love with Hari too ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ and Cable was shocked at first but they both wished for their happiness. It is a valid point, but I don't think it's an issue for this particular story.
5. Hari looked like their dead sister
Another point taken, the duchess brought her in bc she reminded her of her late daughter. But mind you this woman was mentally unstable and was grieving. They might look similar in the Manhwa for arts sake but who knows how similar they actually looked like in the novel from the other character's POV or based on the author's intent. If they really were suppose to look a like, yes it might be weird, but you can't help who you fall in love with.
my guy being a wingman does not mean going out w/ them instead lmaoo pls don't fall in love w/ her, I don’t need anymore unnecessary angst
