wouldn't you be insecure if youre lover was always out late, not for work purposes, with someone else and you dont know what he or she is doing? You've just moved in with your lover but now youre mostly home alone waiting for him or her to come home while he was out with someone else who showed intrest in him. WHY WOULDNT SHINGO GET INSECURE?

And actually, we still don't know why he acted like that, manga gives us no explanation. :/ Shougo also got none. I'm shocked he isn't still insecure.

thats why im so mad moving on in this manga. its great that theyre happy but yet im so mad that it wasnt explained the kiss between kei and the other guy. Shingo was made to brush it off like nothing ever happened to make him insecure(╯°Д °)╯╧╧

OMG i cant not believe that at this point of the story you still dont understand whats shingo bigguest problem... did you read this manga at all? keichi being coming home late ans his sudden travel, was a detonat but not the real problem, the real problem its way back when shingo was a kittie and was abandoned, since then he dont trust in anybodys love, and even at this part of the story he dont really trust keichis love at all... he believe that his advert reaction to keichi was the respond of keichi not lovin him anymore so he rejected him and broke up with him...

for readers like you its that all this complains about the end being bad, keiichi being a jerk, and this manga being 'just sex' are spreading like crazy here... why dont just read the whole thing againg and understad the context first? Σ( ￣□￣||)

I think, in my opinion. he was afraid of being abandon. It was the same insecurity he had from the beginning, as it started when he was a cat and wasn't able to let go. At the end he felt terrible of the loss time and for being selfish

He also had other feelings of insecurity that overwhelmed him

I don't know if I would be able to make it more understandable than other people, but you need to read it from Shingo's perspective if you want to understand him, not from Kagami's or a reader POV (?).

We would state as a fact that they love each other, 'cause that's how sensei might want us to read it, although this kind of love won't please everybody's standards...
Both of them have their love expressions, they are gentle towards each other, but not always; Kagami is a bully and Shingo is a tsundere. They love those traits, but both are insecure even if they know of their love, because sometimes some actions might overshadow kindness, for example avoiding important topics (both) or going overboard with their traits.

And also, sometimes we let our demons fill our thoughts…
“He isn’t coming”, “he is not calling or texting”, “he is acting weird and differently”, “his scent isn’t there anymore”, “his brother told me that if you don’t feel the scent is because the feelings disappeared”, “he avoided my kisses”, “he took a shower when he came back”, “he had someone else smell over him”, “there is this new guy”, “he is leaving with that guy who touches him a lot”, “he didn’t ask me to go with him”, “he wanted me with him always, so why is he pushing me back?”. BAM! Those are some negative thoughts that added up to Shingo’s insecurities, gave him an excuse (the one he was looking for due to trauma) to separate before getting more hurt (being abandoned by Kagami, even though, deep down, he knows Kagami won’t do it).
Shingo is the kind of person who would normally think bad things will and do happen (he was abandoned a lot when little, so, I’m not a psychologist but, I bet an awful trauma can be carved into a child’s soul due to that), he tried to think differently, to see Kagami’s love, he asked him about cheating, he showed a part of his insecurities and discomfort (being upset when he didn’t call or text, when he reeked of alcohol, when that guy was all over him), but being negative is another of his traits.

Even if we saw Kagami’s POV and knew Kagami didn’t sleep with Angelo (he avoided kissing Shingo but not sleeping with him, so no sex in my opinion), a lot of people wasn’t happy with the kiss. A kiss might also count as cheating for some… He didn’t kiss him, but he didn’t avoid it. :/ (It was like pressing his lips... wait, isn't that the definition of a kiss? o.O). He could have thought that was the best way to deal with Angelo, but not kissing Shingo, showed he was aware it wasn’t fine, and that’s something Shingo could read, he sensed something was off.

Kagami loves Shingo, his behavior was related to work and interacting with this guy, but he acted a bit weird towards Shingo… Yes, he said “I won’t cheat” and “I love you”, he was caring and lovely as he has been but when you are insecure those tiny details would shake you; also all those bits are usual in cheaters. If you know your partner, little changes might worry/trouble you, buuuuut, if you know your partner, if you know he loves you, you won’t doubt, if you are secure of your decisions and choices, you would know what kind of person you chose.

It isn’t pleasant to realize your partner is still doubting you after… how many volumes? But Kagami knew, deep down too, Shingo’s traumas are huge. Kagami has tried in his own bully, and caring, way to treat Shingo’s problems, but there is a point where Kagami can’t do much and Shingo needs to make an effort.

I do think Kagami has been cruel, I still resent the time he forced Shingo when his brother and Rio where outside of their home. Awful! And I never liked that Shingo is the one who is always asking for forgiveness, because Kagami has done wrong too. As showed in an extra chapter (Afurekata 3.5), they both have their reasons to be mad, so both should apologize and work on it. We just want to be understood!!

Kagami can be really lovely, in this volume he was till the break up, but when he wants to be mean, he is terrible. Although while re-reading Afurekata, I understood his attitude. “Understood”, I won’t excuse him, because even if Shingo didn’t know about the kiss, Kagami did. Yes, Shingo has issues but Kagami didn’t help. Where is my apology!

I might think being mean is not the best way to convey feelings and communicate stuff, but some do, and with Shingo, I’m sorry to say it, it worked… It always works with them… Agghh, stupid couple!
Would there be a day when Kagami ask for forgiveness? I hope there will, because he is aware, yes, he knows, he has been cruel…
Although Shingo has been cruel too, in his own way (doubting your lover, shamelessly lying to yourself about your love, he knew he hurt Kagami), aghhh, again, stupid couple!

Hope this can help you to understand Shingo, at least a little. The other thoughts are just reflections. Simply said: Shingo was insecure due childhood traumas (he was afraid of abandonment), being in a relationship made him more aware of his fears (being abandoned by his lover), his lover began to act weird, insecurities amounted to awful thoughts even when his lover had been all lovey-dovey.

ok maybe you didnt get the whole thing. Shingo having abandonment problems isn't the only insecure factor. Sure he was insecure even before Kei was being distant, but Shingo was trying to get closer and was willing to move in with Kei (If Shingo were so insecure at that point, he wouldn't have moved in with Kei despide his abandonment past). His insecurities increased to the height where he was super scared and nervous about Kei might be cheating started when Kei did show actions that can be seen as cheating (staying out late not for work reasons and hanging out with the guy that clearly showed his intrests in taking Kei ). THE abandonment factor cannot be the only thing you take into account.

Ahh you explained it perfectly!!! Thank you i completely agree with you. I can't accept the fact that Kei didnt apologize and Shingo was forced to beg for forgiveness all himself. Even if it worked for Shingo, its too cruel
