Wookyung's behaviour is stupid, and yeah seen from the outside he kinda "went looking for it", but does that mean that he actually DESERVES it???? no, it doesn't. no one deserves it.
It's like when you have that friend who keeps returning to her abusive ex boyfriend. Is that a harmless pattern? ofc. Is she being unreasonable? ofc. But... does that justify the pain she's going through? Does that justify another person willingly abusing her? It doesn't, it totally doesn't.
I feel like we really need to acknowledge that not everything needs to be fully black, or fully white. the perfect victim doesn't exist. complex situations happens all the time.
A person's self-destructive behaviour can be both totally irrational and also a product of trauma, unresolved issues, untreated mental disorders - at the same time.
It does not justify any harm willingly inflicted on them. It does not make the abuse "less serious".
On the other side, you still have an abuser who RATIONALLY made the decision to cause harm to another human being, and that's the worst thing in the whole fucking world, and it's also the ONLY thing that should matter in cases of abuse.

i get WHY someone would think that. i do not agree with that line of thinking in the slightest tho.
it takes a bit of effort to not be shallow, to actually be a decent human being. it requires u to think and to go in-depth, to consider different povs that might be uncomfortable.
sometimes it means trying to reconcile two apparently opposite points of view. sometimes it means accepting that contradictions can co-exist, and both can be true at the same time.
