First I will say: I like Harada and how her works do not try to fluff up topics like these. And it isn't as if I'm fainthearted, but honestly the add-on to the scene felt a little... how do I say... overdone?
The whole reason I originally liked the scene was because there was horror, the greatest and thrilling kind, but also this was not too blatant and just enough feel to the scene. You could really let the imagination run wild. The whole mystery is gone and now it's so plain.
I was looking forward to this scene. I wish it could've been more aggressive / I just didn't feel the pain the brother was giving him. I agree with you, I expected more from this scene.
Think of it this way. These side stories are not stand-alones, they relate back to the main story. Senzaki and Tatsumi's presence will help to advance the main story's plot. This plot cannot be simplified to one point of view in order to be successful; it is a Psych genre as well as BL, so in order for it to accomplish anything there has to be more than one perspective in order to capture the twisted social atmosphere of the work.
There is an end goal to all of this, so let's try not to question Ogawa's intent too hard with these side stories.
It's very rare that I read AU inspired doujin of canon manga, because it's not my thing, but I loved this one--

yup, that is my reaction every time i find a promising ongoing yaoi. i fight my urge to read it but my mind doesn't always win and then i hate myself.
I'm glad this chapter came up, especially in June. This is what it feels like sometimes, because in this world, especially in reserved places, it's pretty hard to be anything but straight. It's hard not be so freaking insecure and to accept yourself when everyone is telling you that there's something "wrong" with who you are. I feel like Old Xian did a slam dunk job in this aspect, it's so sad yet refreshing to see something so close to home.

OMG when I first saw the notification for the update I thought "is mangago trolling me again -.-" but I loved this. So. Freaking. Much. Aki was so cute playing mama bird but Asami was just sooo awesome (& fine, hahaha).
It makes me wish that they could have their own little family for real.
