And that point is also emphasized by ML thinking about how humans become irrational when strong emotions like love are involved. Like how up to this point, he believed people were play-acting what they believed love should be like only to realize he’s been irrational himself. So it made sense for the author to exacerbate that when he’s in drunken state

Hmm okay i didnt remember that scene from earlier but makes sense. i feel i could tolerate a certain amount of acting out but this felt over the top to me to the point that I can understand the ML doing it but romance between them has lost its glimmer. I liked this because the MC had an ounce of self respect (surprisingly uncommon in popular BL). Granted idk where the story is going to end up so who knows

I just binged 80 chapters in 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed it because everything felt very organic between them, even the over the top stuff because they’re both very passionate when they’re drunk or angry. So it might just be the difference between being able to binge it VS watching it weekly so you forget things like the fact that the MC actually started it with trying to break into his apartment with the fire extinguisher. It’s a shame though, because I don’t often find stories that make me root for both leads in this way.

I binged this bl and I wasnt at all surprised cause the signs were there from the beginning hes always been manipulative lmaoo remember what happened when he brought his drunk friend over? Dude crashed out so bad and at that point they wasnt even that deep in it yet

I read that scene differently. He was genuinely too angry/jealous for that to be about manipulation. So as far as I could see, one or two things were happening in that scene. Either he was jealous/possessive over his F buddy for the first time ever, so he didn’t even realize those were the emotions he was feeling so he was convinced that it was just about MC crossing boundaries they’d set in place. Or that situation was tapping into an old trauma, causing him to overreact. We generally know nothing about how he grew up, outside of the fact that he comes from a wealthy family and that he’s very loyal, and maybe a little too attached to people who “enter his inner circle”. That part especially, about the way he claims people in his circle, seems to be trauma-based, since he’s always had a wall around him. He was almost too desperate not to see his relationship with MC fall apart after finding out he had feelings for him, which was a surprise to me because in stories like this, it’s usually the person who didn’t want to be confessed to, who just pulls away until regret sets in.

Yeah i remember, and in general Im not surprised. I know ML is one of those "im super rational" asshole types thats meant to realize the error of his ways, i was just holding out a smidge of hope that the chasing arc would be satisfying. Maybe itd be more interesting if Kyuho were more of an asshole lol
