I really like Gaeul as well but I think her reasoning for breaking up with him was because he didn’t change and she did. She wanted marriage to tie them together because she felt herself drifting but Gaeul wanted to focus on his own dreams. Thats what so hard about their break up because neither of them were wrong because everyone is entitled to what they want. I think Jiyoon tends to gets caught up in her memories and tries to perfect the relationship they had even tho it wasn’t perfect. She was in love with him for years before they started dating which made her connection to him very deep and hard to let go. I think she really had to come to terms with the fact that she still loves him but not the relationship they had.

As much I was wanna say that both the dad and he are victims, the dad acts like such an enabler, never says shit to wife and instead chooses to abandon son in order to please wife. Everyone should be directing most of their hate to the prince, but most people are hating on her instead of him!
