Ok so I understand that the FL wants revenge because her ex lied to her the who relationship, but I don't get why the MC wants revenge. Can someone explain pls T^T

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GUY WHO GAVE YURI AN INHALER??? (half monster/ split personality.) They didn't even show him dying, I had to look back and I noticed him just in the background on the floor. He literally carried, ik he set the first cocoon on fire but they would have died without him even before that. He even went back and forth helping and saving people near the end, when he could have escaped himself. I'm not saying everyone else had to but, he didn't deserve to dieeeee, I wish we got to know him better at least.
