He might as well. That's the only thing he's not at this point.
It's a very cute story. I usually don't like stories where the male character gets too much female attention and love triangles with mean jealous girls wanting to steal the guy from the main girl, but in this story I think it's ok. The boy is oblivious and the girl is never threatened (by girls). I personally believe that's best. It's a story made to give you warm feels and I think it's right on target.
