so after reading the first 11 chapters I went ahead and read the novel and well...
the couple dynamic was so incredibly uncomfortable that I felt like puking at the end, no joke.

the ML is obsessed with the protagonist since he was 7 years old (after getting saved by him) and considers him his God. that dependency does not change and gets even more twisted in the worst possible way, with sexual assault. considering that, I thought he'd be the bigger issue here, but truth be told, the MC, who is 10 years older the the ML, is the worst part of all (in respect to how icky I felt). saving that kid became a major moment in his life, he even says that his ideal type stems from it: a cute, fragile person that makes you want to protect them. when he meets the ML again and guards him FOR A MONTH when they're 17 & 27, he mentioned that parting with him made him cry harder that the death of his wife and child (younger brother in the manga) ... OK. 10 years later when they meet again, with him in a different body, is clear that his feelings have not changed. he sees the ML as a poor young boy whom only he can save. when they start having sex, he doesn't even like it, just let's it go because the ML really looks like he needs it and he just wants to make him feel happy. he's just OK with their relationship turning sexual just like that? despite the fact that he's been like a guardian to him thus far, one who taught him card tricks and pet his hair while he was having nightmares? he barely even knows adult ML, in his eyes he's basically the same kid... it's just SO uncomfortable. it didn't feel like love, it felt like co-dependency, obsession, and a weird sense of duty, mixed with lust.

The ending was very open and it left me a bit empty. However, it was very fitting for this story. Romance was always pushed to the back burner with this story and I think from chapter 74 it was clear that Kyohei had feelings for Sunako and as for Sunako I would say chapter 100 was when it was clear she had some underlying feelings for Kyohei. These characters are just not fitted for typical romance, they both dont want confessions of love or the need to kiss and be sexual together. They have a very close bond to the point where Kyohei knew the words to say when she needs to hear them and how Sunako knows not to take some of the bullshit Kyohei says seriously. I think the ending was a love confession in itself as Sunako told Kyohei he’s the only one who is the most sparkly in her eyes and Kyohei smiles. So even though I would have loved to see Kyohei and Sunako progress their love further, it just wouldn’t feel right to see them get married because thats just...not them. They’re the couple that fights and refuse the idea of love but find themselves relying on each other the most and feeling most at peace when they’re together. I think that’s a good ending for me because it shows that these 5 still have a long road ahead of them and their friendship is no where near over. I have loved this series for many years and am thrilled I finally got the chance to finish it. (●'◡'●)ﾉ

Done reading the novel few months ago and the seme is really trash..there was one time uke caught seme having sex with a girl after his concert..before that seme and uke had big fight and the uke dont have plans to watch his concert but decided to come..seme thought uke did not come..uke went to the backstage to see seme but he heard him having sex and offcourse seme was shock..the seme is mad coz he got caught..I dont know what happened after that but uke still forgives seme coz u know thamey are not in relationship..they are just sex friends..there is a time also that seme went out of the country with his crew and his inviting uke but uke refuse coz of his work and seme got mad..then theres paparazzi pics of seme being chummy with other girls and he ask uke if his not jealous and the uke just ignore him..the seme treated him badly,got jealous if uke is being too friendly with other guy esp.to the other seme..forgot his name..his final straw is when he went to the party and he heard that main seme and the 2nd lead seme dated back in high school..he was too shock coz he dont know that they had something from that past..he thought that main seme and 2nd main lead is not in good terms or figjting coz of him but it turns out that both of seme use him to hurt each other..that was he thought that he was fooled..so the uke confront seme and told him its over between them but seme still not believe him but weeks or months uke did not contact him or talk to him and uke left the apartment that seme gave to him..went to europe and there he meet someone i think his tour guide / driver and yup they had sex ..

At first I was planning to drop it, the skeleton's story just became pitiful it was painful. BUT AS THE STORY PROGRESS I JUST HOPE HE'LL ALIGNED HIMSELF WITH LEANDRO, I FEEL LIKE HE'LL BE A GOOD INFLUENCE ON HIS CHARACTER, AND ISAAC MY MAN, YOU MADE ME CRY

I hope you don't selectively sympathise with rape victims in the real world too. Nobody's asking you to love on Byun Minho's character, but acknowledging that he was the only victim in this story, shows a lot about you. Let's also acknowledge that fact that he's only written so badly so that you rape apologists can ignore his trauma like you always do when you feel a victim isn't worthy of sympathy or if they were cursing or wearing short clothes, since the victim's character plays so strongly into the actual rape, right?

I love how people "come out" to bravely confess about liking or disliking a 2D character as if the character cares. Honey, the only thing you're making clear is that you totally missed the point, that you think that rape is justified as long as the rape victim isn't perfectly sweet and innocent, because being anything else sure means that they deserved all the abuse, assault and humiliation they got.
