I mean I get that he’s having a change in his behavioural conversation when speaking bluntly but that was influenced by the FL to be careful with his words towards their daughter, so before this he was still walking through his daughter, disregarding her feelings and causing her to feel judged by his every word, it’s true, trauma induced people will induce trauma into others in their care. Man still feels like a bad apple to me, he’s only listening to his now wife’s judgement cause of the woman who caused him trauma. He seems to feel fear of women and the only way to get through to him is not through kindness but judgement, he only realized he was being rude to his daughter when the FL triggered his memory out of fear then he started retracting his words and being more considerate of his daughter. In such a broken family I’m just rooting for their daughter and if the FL divorces him she’ll have to abandon her daughter sadly since the daughter is in line to be duke.
