In the original manhwa/raws, it is 'oppa'~ so that might be a mistranslation. Although in reality, some younger females do call older males 'hyung' if they aren't trying to be affectionate - so 'Hyung' is still acceptable in a way. Hope this helps!
I mean it's an interesting pov that we don't see in a lot of BL's but the way it was done also kinda makes the plot confusing
Like I'm only on chapter 6 and I'm like man this is depressing....but like also interesting. I was already on the fence about Yuri in FYL, he was kind of a dick (sorry Yuri fans please don't come for me this is just my personal opinion) and this story certainly is not helping. That said I am interested to see where this goes, it says romance but right now it seems more drama than that (⊙…⊙ )
