Because we've seen the ceo speak like two lines to the guy so far n have been watching the blond man courting him this whole time we'd never even see him in the story so far if he wasn't an MC, even tho he's supposed to be end game he's basically just a stranger in this scenario so far that's why second lead syndrome is so dumb to me cuz why do authors n writers even do that like you spend your whole time developing this second relationship but then the main character ends up with someone else who we barely know and they aren't even compatible obviously ppl would prefer the second lead!
