What if in the end we’ll be told that one of them is adopted? Or a son of a super-duper distant relative they had to take in? Or will this story stay true to its’ incestuous origin? Actually, this is kinda sexy. And the art is very good.
But if it’s incest I want to see more angst and inner struggle. When it’s this fluffy it doesn’t feel like they’re committing some sort of sin.
'Not Equal' is the angst epitome of incest yaoi for me. They know it's taboo and struggle with their feelings, but they question why it would be taboo. (Also, with time travel, the author makes certain that the couple is always within age consent. I.e. teenager vs. adult.)
This is so weirdly fluffy and it is both shota and yet one is an 'adult' and the other is in high school which oddly feels weirder than the incesf.
The very last chapter of this story was like a slap in the face after such a heartwarming ending. My eyes were clouded with tears many times while I was reading the story but that single chapter finally made me cry. Such different Christmas parties for both of them. The author was too cruel towards Sehyun.
But overall this was a good though pretty heavy story.
Just to words to make you understand how good this manga is: CONSENT and COMMUNICATION. No stupid drama, no rapey shit, no blackmail and manipulation, likeable characters and simple yet well-carried out plot.
Reminded me a lot of Blue Sky Complex.
