Don't get me wrong, I think it's overall good but the 2nd Male Lead Syndrome (is that how it's called?) Got me so hard. Once the knight was not confirmed as end-game, I kinda dipped. So if anyone reads this, THE KNIGHT IS NOT THE ML. Like, it's not like I hate the wizard guy, but I just saw him as the typical flirty guy. I read a recent chapter and I can't even be excited about the romance 'cause sir Joseph deserved better!

I personally don't interact with what I don't like - like sub/dom verse stuff, I just avoid it and leave ppl alone cause it ain't my business. Also, I know the difference between fiction and reality so it's not like I'm gonna apply what I see here to real life. I have morals that apply to real ppl but enjoy toxic shit in fiction because I know it's not real and that I would stand up against it in real life.

One of my earliest reads, I was there when it was being published so nostalgia lol. It would have been better if ml had just been mean to MC and not done all that he did BUT as it is a nostalgic read, I don't care all the much. Generally, if the overall story is good I can overlook any and all errors, might reread again.
Interestingly enough, I like the development. Cause to make it clear, MC wanted to end the bond from the start, the only thing holding him back was the high cost (in terms of money and health risk) since he could not afford on his own the better surgery. However, forgetting the father's involvement, MC was suffering bc the ML used the bond to manipulate MC. In the first few chapters, the ML forced the MC to go into heat. Now without the bond, the ML HAS to rebuild the relationship if he wants another chance, not rely on the bond to tie the MC. Further, their relationship will be based on actual feelings if they do get back together.

Well it seems that all his salary (from working at his friend’s family's restaurant) went to his son's treatment. And my assumption, based on the fact that only recently did his son start having symptoms, is that any savings he had (for the surgery or not) would have also been used for his son's treatment.
1. JK is going to find KD and he's gonna try to convince/force KD to go back to Seoul.
2. KD will refuse and having nothing truly better to do, JK will stay.
3. I feel like their relationship will get better, but JK is still going to see it as transactional and will hurt KD (who might kick JK out of his life for a bit again for being a jerk).
It just makes sense for JK to enter KD's world this time around. And I'm sure KD would refuse to leave even if it meant JK's team hiring him again or JK paying him for a sexual relationship, because now it's no longer about money - the thing being held over KD for so long - it's about KD as a person with wants and needs. Once his grandmother passes away, he'll be even more free to live for himself and JK will have nothing but the debt hanging over KD (but of course that will only make things worse bc KD will only see JK as one more debt collector).

I knew communication wouldn't solve shit. Like no matter what MC says, ML would find a way to try and avoid the topic. Even if MC didn't believe ML's father, he already suspected that ML was withholding information and so it wouldn't be surprising if other shady things happened too. Ultimately, it seems that ML will do anything to maintain control, so no matter how much MC wants to talk, he'll avoid reveling too much information to maintain dominance. Also, MC is being isolated, he has no on he can trust and after the sister made it clear she is on her brother’s side, he doesn't even have ppl with neutral alliances near him. He's on his own and all he wants is to protect his son, which may mean relying on ML's father, who although is shady, is powerful enough to stop ML and get MC and his son away. But who knows ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I only disliked seeing Hyesung's mom, cause ngl I don't feel all that bad for her. I don't hate her or anything bc I understand that she was desperate and was going through dv. Obviously she did what she could to leave but I hated her attitude towards Hyesung, cause she only appeared when he was no longer around his father and more successful. She could've looked for him but she didn't, which is heartbreaking, especially considering that Hyesung needed the support but was abandoned by both parents. Anyyyways, not happy about her being around and I'm sure that may bring conflict but yeah I understand that her second family may have felt lied to and that she could also abandon them. A second anyways, I'm liking the story otherwise.
It is made clear in the beginning that Ilya is way older than Khalid, mostly because it is a political marriage. Ilya was the only Omega of his country's royal family, unwanted mostly, and Khalid was the young king in a country that values omegas. Although Ilya found Khalid interesting, it wasn't because of romantic love, but because he has never been treated like an equal by others. And it seems Khalid developed some sort of puppy love for Ilya, however that was one sided.
Over time the two began to care about each other, but it wasn't like lovers but just two people caught in political drama. It wasn't until years later that both actually developed a romantic relationship based on the more platonic feelings from the past and how they valued each other in the present. They didn't even act lovey-dovey until the Civil War ended. So yeah you can be put off by the political marriage between an 18 year old and 10 year old, but there wasn't anything romantic or sexual until 8 years later (in which both were apart due to a civil war).
And they're eight years apart. It’s actually quite tamed in my opinion
Doing maths you can find that Ilya was 16 and dude was eight and then you add that of 10 years they did not see each other which makes Ilya 26 and dude 18.

It states Ilya 18-26. It's also stated Khalid is 10 when they get married and he's 18 at the end, thus 8 year time skip. 18+8= 26, so Ilya is 18 at the time of the marriage and they have an 8 year age gap.
But regardless, it stands that their marriage was political with platonic feelings at the beginning.
at some parts, it felt like ilya felt romantic attraction to him even before the timeskip which rubbed me the wrong way. without that, it would’ve been stronger imo
