So 610 can make togabito, which leaves behind a scar. This means, perhaps he turned the shiki leader into a togabito (he has the scar on his neck) - but that would mean that 610 has been alive for decades as well, because the leader of shiki and the scientist guy have been alive for a long ass time apparently. But that means the whole cloning himself and his daughter thing has also been ongoing for decades - which also means that his daughter met 610 decades ago (and of course their relationship is a mystery too) and died decades ago. Which on top of all that means that Jyugo is technically decades old too, and the most recent clone (15) might have been the last one? That part is confusing because it doesn't seem that shiki has tried to make more clones.
What is more confusing though is that perhaps Elf was meant to be an imitation of 610? Because when Elf infects others, he leaves a similar scar. Since Enki and Hajime were/are infected but they had nothing to do with 610 aside from being in Nanba around the same time, it means that that has to involve Elf and not 610. But why does Jyugo not have a similar scar? He's a host of Elf but even underneath the chains he does not have a scar. It's strange. However Shiki isn't actively searching for Jyugo, and it could be that Kaazu has a big hold on him, but also what is the extent of Jyugo's powers? He has the arm things and at the end of the series he can somehow teleport, so I wonder what's up with him. Anyways, I love this series, hope the author can continue it one day lol
I noticed that Leo is a person who listens to respond. He doesn't really process what to say, rather he initially listens, comes up with a snappy response through the rest of what the other person is saying, and says it. I hope he does begin to pay more attention to what JJ says, because he legitimately though JJ was leaving the team and not that he was just going on a year-long project.
I feel like Maxi should be given the opportunity to grow BUT at a different time. Don't get me wrong, she has to learn at some point but it could have been on a shorter adventure, maybe with someone who could directly show her (like the mage dude). This is a big journey through dangerous environments, no one can both show her how to do her job and ensure her safety comes first when they need to watch their own backs and they don't know magic. Riftan doesn't have the time or capacity to lead the expedition, ensure the safety of all his soldiers, and both teach and protect Maxi. It would be different if Maxi was just a friend or love interest, because then Riftan would have less of a duty to protect her directly, but she's his spouse, he has a direct duty to protect her but he can't juggle everything, especially with an un-experienced Maxi.
Ultimately, Maxi should be given opportunities to grow that are appropriate for her level, so she can have the space to make non-lethal mistakes. That would also soothe Riftan's fears. Riftan is a jerk for closing himself off, but you gotta remember that he thinks that Maxi didn't want to marry him and that she herself refused to move to his land because she was fully provided for at her family home (not true but he doesnt know that yet). He believes she is a pampered young lady who knows no suffering, so he's under the impression that his worth is correlated with how much he can protect and provide for Maxi. If she has to go out into the battlefield, he thinks he's failing. If she gets hurt, he's failing. He's distancing himself because he knows he would go wild and that would only put her in more danger. Again, he is being a jerk, but it is true that Maxi should have had more level-appropriate journeys first.
It's not that serious ultimately because it's fiction, but just something I wanted to point out lol (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
Although I agree that the ML is a dirt bag, hope he gets abandoned for a long while, it's interesting that he does not actually reveal anything about his background to the MC. Not excusing the bastard, but the most he's personally revealed is that he does not have a good relationship with his father. Everything else has been told by his sister, which she's clearly using to try and manipulate the MC.
This either means that 1. The bastard is being somewhat honest in his approach to the MC, because he's trying to charm him into staying rather than just relying on his sad background. He's still a shady bastard nonetheless but he's not using his past to his advantage. 2. He told his sister to do it. I don't put it past him not gonna lie. I believe the bastard is trying to influence MC through outside means, but he's failing because nothing is really sticking long enough not to raise doubt. Interestingly, MC is even doubting the lab results, which I don't put past the bastard to manipulate either. The bastard IS using their son, so if it seems the treatment is going 100% well (not just 80% or 90%) then the MC is more inclined to stay.
I get that ppl may not agree with that one chick but I believe it's one of those "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" situations. We know she had a complex about her appearance already, so we know that she may struggle with the idea that you don't have to fit a mold to be accepted. And it seems she cares a lot about those around her, so it just seems like she wants to protect ML through a misguided idea of what normal is. ML is already a generally lonely person, so if it's revealed that he's in a homosexual relationship in their little South Korean rural village, he may be isolated even further. My best guess is that the villagers will either not care too much or they'll quickly adapt, especially because they have respect for ML, but the chick doesn't realize that.
Sure it's not her place to dictate who ML can date but it seems she has good intentions and it may not even mean she herself believes homosexuality is wrong. I could be wrong but it seems she's just misguided. It could even mean she herself has struggles with sexuality or maybe it's just that her self-image problems are being projected onto the ML due to stress from her situation. I prefer to wait and see honestly. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
It's a rural village in a country that hasn't legalized same sex marriage yet and the majority population seems to be elderly. It does seem like she's worried about the circumstances and not the actual principle. Especially because Kwon genuinely loves this village, puts so much money and effort into maintaining the livelihoods of the people living in it, and doesn't seem to ever want to move.
Her not even talking about this with him and actively trying to break them up is rude and the part I have a problem with but her worries aren't unfounded
I think it's both things, she's just worried about him in her own misguided way. She's definitely wrong in making assumptions and doing things behind his back, but she's also a young college student whose just left the comfort of her rural village. She's definitely going to get a strong wake up call, but I don't think she's some evil bitch like some comments make her sound.
I said it before, but usually in other stories, the bottom would stop questioning the top after hearing the sob story, but the MC has really begun to doubt everything. It's even blatantly made clear that the sister is trying to butter up the MC to the ML (which is fucked up bc I get she loves and may want to help her brother, buuuut she's just using the MC knowing their history).
Honestly, I have hope that the author is actually going to go the route of the MC leaving on his own because there's a lot more attention being placed on the MC doubting everything. Otherwise it would be pretty shit. Anyways, I can't wait to see if the MC becomes incredibly cold to ML and he eventually leaves. It may even parallel the past where the ML ended the relationship when it was made clear that the MC was hurt by ML not seeing him as an actual lover. Maybe ML may get a bit honest and think they are becoming like a true married couple, only for MC to be like, this is a contractual relationship. That would hurt fr.
Anyways, this is me coping. ╥﹏╥
I'm glad they talked but JJ is still scheduled to leave. They'll definitely do the long distance dating thing though, cause at the beginning JJ did say that he felt that they needed to be apart to have a better relationship. So him going to Germany is going to accomplish that, with JJ having the opportunity to be himself and stop catering 100% to Leo, while Leo learns how to care for himself and how to go on without JJ being there constantly.
So happy for them though. ┗( T﹏T )┛
Fuck everyone in this story broooooooooooo
MC is obviously a cheater with a terrible attitude. ML began an affair (he knew MC was in a relationship before the reveal about his son) and then continued said affair after it turned out his son was dating MC.
The son doesn't get a pass either, yes he got cheated on but cheating isn't the answer either. We know MC and ML are trash but the son was terrible as well, because rather than sitting down and seriously discussing the relationship or breaking it off he cheats. Sure he was being cheated on and didn't know, but that's even worse no? He saw his bf was being distant and cold but decided that the best course of action was instead to cheat? Maybe his bf was going through something but his first instinct was to fuck the guy giving him attention. Again, knowing the MC is trash doesn't actually make the son any better. I was rooting for the son but honestly, he's trash too.
So far the factions/groups are as follow: (for personal record mostly lol)
-Kaazu: Led by Hiiro, a clone and the togabito of chains. Beneath Kaazu is the Zodiac police and Nanba prisons. Their goal is to destroy all togabito.
-Zodiac Police: Organization that hunts down criminals. Currently, the warden of the male Nanba prison is looking for #610 who is the only prisoner to have ever escaped Nanba. Has become fractured.
-Ram and Sophia: They are being hunted by the Zodiac Police, Sophia's adoptive sister, Kaazu, and Shiki. They have been joined by two members of the Zodiac Police. Sophia is the togabito of Night and can awaken/ make other fall asleep.
-#610 and co: Is being hunted down by Kaazu, the Zodiac Police, and Shiki. He is an immortal togabito who can awaken powers in individuals with the aptitude for powers. He has a memory problem and is being escorted by an assassin who plans to kill him himself.
-Nanba Prison: Under the leadership of Hiiro, they function as an actual prison, the execution grounds for togabito, and as a personal cage for Jyugo. Some know the truth and others are unaware, but fractions may form as the truth is revealed.
-Uno, Rock, and Nico: For *spoiler* reasons they are maintaining a facade with Jyugo. They care about him but are hiding the truth from him.
-Enki: Decreased but he had been uncovering the truth about Nanba, and left behind evidence for the Warden and others. Kiji, the warden of female Nanba prison, and Samon are aware of some of his discoveries.
-Shiki: Led by white haired scientist(can never remember his name) who was transformed into a Togabito by #610. He is the togabito of record and can manipulate memories in various forms (such as giving memories or changing memories). He experiments a lot and is responsible for the creation/awakening of Elf, Musashi, and Jyugo. The goal of the organization is to evolve humans into togabito. They are into kidnapping and/or experimenting on people, as well as into recruiting togabito forcefully.
-Shinigami Cult: Cult that worships all kinds of death gods. Sith(?) Is a member.
-Togabitos: For various reasons they may hate or love Nanba/Kaazu/Shiki. Some are completely innocent individuals caught up in a quarrel, such as Tengu, Noriko, Musashi, etc. Some are dangerous.
These are all I can remember but man this story is great but tragic.
