Gosh, the cruel predicament of unrequited love. I’m really happy Subin ended up with Jun and is happy with him because that’s what he deserves (damn i want what they have give me a Jun too). Hyunwoo took Subin for granted and when he wasn’t within his arm’s reach anymore, he became desperate. Hyunwoo didn’t need Subin because he loved him, he loved Subin because he needs him, there’s a big difference.
Also, everything in this feels so real and cerebral at the same time. The plot, characters, emotions, even the dialogue was pragmatic, but the amazing color schemes and little textures in the art betrays it.
Maybe why some readers found it boring (which kinda upsets me) is because it is so in touch with reality and the line between fiction is blurred. Maybe they were used to reading POTN and Killing Stalking and whatnot which have grand schemes that get you so riled up. But anyway, I enjoyed every second of this and I’ve never been so emotionally invested in a manhwa like this before.
Exactly. On point. I also don't get how one could root for Hyunwoo when he treated Subin like shit. Up until the end he didn't respect his boundaries which is something that was never a problem with Jun. I too think that what many people have a problem with is that it is too much in touch with reality. In other manwhas/mangas Hyunwoo would have had a mediocre character development and realised that he loves Subin. But in reality I feel like this doesn't just happen. In reality you are more likely to meet someone who will heal those wounds and make you fall in love with them. I read this manwha for the seventh time now and it still makes me cry, laugh and smile.:( ♡
For me, Shin is a very complex character and i can’t follow his equally complex thought process. Why can’t Shin confess his feelings to Wolfgang? I don’t think he’s completely oblivous to Wolfgang’s feelings for him too. They both love each other so why can’t they both be together? Is it because he only realized his feelings now and all the sex they had was only to satisfy each other’s carnal desires? Or maybe because he only thinks that he’s merely Wolfgang’s “possession”? Or that he thinks that Wolfgang should be with a woman, which i think is irrelevant at this point given how they’ve been sleeping with each other. I think he’s really thinking too much about this. He’s so busy working and caring for other people’s happiness that he’s forgetting his own. Gosh why is it always the ukes that have it hard
Shin didn't knew that the king love him and yearns for him. i remember a chapter that says "remember that i am the one who took off this cape, your body, your heart, are mine to take" something like that. Shin perceives it as an order that he is a possession of the king. Although the king loves him, he didn't really told shin in direct worda and made him misunderstood until he, himself realize his feelings for the king. The fuck because the king wants him, but Shin thinks its a given that he gives his body to him. And then about the obvious feeling they feel for each other. Shin is indenial and still thinks that Wolfgang doesn't love him and whatnot. Making their friend the bridge and their thirdwheel in this push and pull relationship. And at the end of this season, he still didn't tell wolf that he loves him and propose in finding a queen because he needs to have an heir.(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
I knew there was a catch in the with all the fluff and happiness in the early chaps of s2. It felt like it was so smooth sailing, “too smooth sailing”. I really do hate these “toxic ex” and rape tropes in yaoi and combined together is a whole another story. I hope hyesung going to be okay and seungchan use your family’s power to out that bastard behind bars.
This manhwa is seriously so beautiful, almost flawless, from the plot to the art to the well-written characters, the creators never cut corners on this that i feel so guilty reading this here. I am still just a new grad studying to get my license and I vowed to myself that once i earn money i’m going to support the creators on every platform to repay them for hardwork they put through to produce this masterpiece and helping me remain sane (although this drives me crazy sometimes)
The plot is so well-written and the characters, even better. The sexual tension was immaculate it kept my toes curled and when they finally gave in to their undeniable attraction my innards churned. I also kinda find it funny how none from the team is straight but i hope we got more about them too. Nonetheless, it was a great read 11/10
