Second of all, they’re dismissing someone’s gender identity for their biological sex. If someone identifies as a woman, they’re a woman. Sex =/= gender and genitals =/= gender So if a man dates a trans woman, it’s not gay. ‘Cause she’s a woman.

The term trap, regardless of its origins, is used in some contexts to degrade and insult trans women. Trust me, me I've seen it happen. The thing about words is that the context they are used in is more important than what literal definition they may hold. I'm honestly fine with trap being used in the context of memery but that doesn't change the fact that isn't the raddest thing to call someone who is trans.
