First off, it’s already established that she’s not the mistress, she’s the queen and there is no fiancé in the picture which is why I pointed that out.

Second, I fear that you’re missing too many pieces to really effectively argue this point or maybe have read too many villainess comics?

What we know:

While we know that he had a love affair and a child, we also know that the child and his lover was really protected by him and that so they were also not public facing so he wasn’t “flaunting them to the public”.

We also know that in societies like this, the mistresses and bastard children are gonna be looked down on more than the noble woman who kept her legs closed.

We are also made aware that the sister meets the lover and doesn’t know he’s even a noble, thus has no idea of the fact he’s a royal or even has a fiancé. She got pregnant before she found out and thus was trapped at his whim, so calling her trash is really truly unsupported.

What we don’t know:

We don’t know the nature of the relationship between the fiancé and the dude. For all we know she was more than fine with her fiance having a mistress. Also, we don’t know if they were amicable, hated each other or knew each other at all. They absolutely could have been a world where they had been trying to end their political relationship and it simply took time.

Ultimately, it’s absolutely not fair to call the sister trash and its too dubious to call the lover trash.

Even without knowing all that, they’re both still low-key trash and that’s why they fit together. I mean the sister always had Chloe cleaned up her mess and her soon to be hubby is trash for lying about his real status and also leaving her on end pregnant and alone and engaged to another women nonetheless. You can defend them that’s your right, but I don’t know why you are, it’s not like they’re really great complex characters. Just kind of self-centered people.

I think those are valid criticisms of them but the initial reason u critiqued them aren’t. It should have been a Yuri instead they paired the older sister with her omega twink assistant who has loved her but lied about being asexual so she had no idea he was interested in her. What's worse it's this love triangle between the sister and her best friend over the omega who is really unlikable.
The ending felt rushed (but I'm glad it Ended). And they have a baby. It just leaves you wondering if the sister even loves the omega or just didn't want to lose her assistant and wanted her own family.
It had so much potential bur was wasted due to a bad pairing. Which I think fargo likes to do.
To give you an example how unlikable and boring the omega is from the sister's story, he made me appreciate the crazy ex husband of dojun whom ended up with beta. His character was more interesting and had depth.
