i just started this series, and i liked it. But the way she was r*ped by the ML and everyone acts like its just fine is bothering me sooo much. Is this what we are settling for ladies? idc if he has done some good things or is handsome. You can't just ignore that he R*PED her.
You should . The story line is great
.
As for the " rape " part I don't consider it as rape since they've already been married , the female offers the bed with the male and to ask for protection. There is as much chance to be killed or whatever if she sleep with him or not. And it was in consent . If you consider this as rapey , its your own choice ....
Didn't she offer her "virginity" for the title of a duchess? Ok the ml wasn't the most decent in the first chapter but he didn't force her, he was going to either send her back or punish her by the law for decieving him (a duke). And spoiler for the ones who haven't read this: she is stronger than him physically i mean, what I'm trying to say is that if she was being forced she could've killed him. And she was virgin to begin with because of that very reason or do you thing that there weren't enough bastards in the castle when she worked as a maid?
She wanted that duchess title so she could help the poor people.
And he points the sword as her because of sheer distrust. In no way I'm defending how he hurt her neck, but try to imagine: in a society where noble women lack or (are even forbidden to aquire) knowledge to "lead", she being a mere maid, as soon as she has permission she is swiftly handling everything in a fucking split second. He would of course doubt her and accuse her of being a spy.
The one who really "uses" the other is Edna.
Now all this is my perspective, don't misunderstanding me and think that i support in any shape or form of misogyny or anything disgusting like it. This was just the perspective of someone who's read the whole thing and has a better understanding of the whole plot.
Am I the only one who likes the story but HATES the art??? This is just my opinion, but it's too badd. I cringe every time I see it, but I really like the story. this is a hard dilemma
