I like this manga and loved the fateful second meeting with the wife. But you have to admit, the rich girl really have genuine feelings for the Jihyun. I believe you're only looking at her financial side. If the rich girl was an annoying bitchy girl, the wife would've been my pick. But not in this story. She's not the typical annoying rich girl you usually see (I gotta admit she's a little annoying because of her stubborness but at least she's not a slutty one). Since she actually likes Jihyun. And if you read carefully, you can see that Jihyun have slowly moved on from the past. The feelings he have isn't currently love, but guilt. He's also starting to feel new things for the rich girl because of her stubborn yet genuinely caring personality. And its not like the rich girl wanted to be born in that kind of abusive family. She said it herself that it doesn't matter if she was born into a poor family if it means she'll get a happy one. The wife should also move on. You musn't forget the fact that this wife is not the continuation from the past, but a new one. Of course she's been in love with him for lots of years, but I believe the past must stay in the past. To the wife, it have not been long since she met Jihyun. Although it was Jihyun's fault for giving her the wrong idea, it wasn't completely his. He was just being nice knowing the kind of personality he have. It was also partially the wife's fault for confidently misunderstooding his act of kindness. Because majority of the yaoi/BL mangas had rape scenes that normalized it, most of us readers including me was and some still are pretty desensitized to it now. But re-reading this manga from the beginning and seeing the brutal attack on Yuuto made me realize just how fucked up that was. When sexually inexperienced people watch porn, they probably think that's how real sex is, and that is very unfortunate. But if people get desensitized or glamorize even, the act of such violence in lgbtq relationship/sex in real life, that is dangerous.

There's a huge responsability on a lot of mangaka's shoulders too, bc there are way too many stories where you can find that unacceptable culture of, "when someone says 'no', it means 'yes', he or she's just not honest about his or her desires" and then what is in fact rape is (wrongly) depicted as pleasurable to both parties. I really believe that empathy doesn't come naturally to most people, it's easier to be selfish and indifferent, so it's like a "perfect" match of two careless attitudes (by mangakas and readers). My favorite mangas are usually those where you can see that awareness you mentioned on the mangaka's part.
