in this manga, he was not in control of his actions and he sincerely loved angela. IN the AE Ruve was given a potion that magnified his feelings. He also wasn't in control but he wasn't completely without consciousness. RUve mostly missed her efficiency which is why he started falling for her after her death. The difference was that this fiance genuinely had no intentions of hurting her. He didn't feel any jealousy towards angela the way ruve was jealous of tia.

If i remember correctly, the reason why she hid her identity is because she's the only living heir of a territory he now currently owns. When her appearance is known. That means the people of that territory will want her to be their queen instead of the prince which would cause a revolution. In turn, the prince would have to kill her or marry her but our FL doesnt know that since he did just straight up kill all her family members. So id say its pretty understandable. It wouldnt be just the prince too. Some members of high society would probably banish her or assinate her.
