Ask a professional for diagnosis. Don't self diagnose. I know getting therapy is a privilege or you are in a situation where you can't get it. Please, you might end up having a different mental health issue and you can spread misinformation.

I'm putting this out there for anyone using this as a frame of reference for DID or any other media. First of all, do your research. There are videos on YouTube of people who live with this condition. Read the DMS-5, did-research.org, and ask people with DID first. And I might be wrong on some of this information. This the information I had found on my own.
The part about unifying the alters (personalities) is not having one of them disappear without a trace. They become one. They fuse. Like in Steven Universe, fusion isn't just one of them disappearing. It has both traits of the people fused.
Fusing is not the only way to treat DID. And there is no cure for it. Another way to treat DID is to co-exist and learn daily living with DID. Some might not be able to fuse/integrate even if they want to. Some do fuse even if they don't want to.
DID is developed by having repeated childhood trauma around from age 0-6 (I could be wrong). After those ages, you can't developed it. This is because you fully integrate after 6 years old. It's not just from seeing or experiencing something traumatic once. That would probably end up causing PTSD. Not everyone who experiences repeated trauma will developed it. Trauma responses varies from person to person.
There are different types of DID's. Remember this. Not everyone will have the same system (Name for the entire alters).
Thank you for your time. Please correct me and show me your source for the correct information, if I had stated anything wrong.
I completely agree with your statement against self diagnosis. I hate it when people do that and say they have serious depression or anything like that to get pity points. I would just say, since the story ending came so quickly and the ending seems really rushed, I think maybe the author wanted to complete the story as quickly as possible and maybe didn't do a ton of research into the treatments for DID. I think that may be why the ending to Yirong/Jing's condition wasn't 100% true to actual research.

Yeah, I agree with you. It seems they didn't not know how to end properly and was losing passion for the project towards the end.
