I know a lot of people find her spineless, but after her mother's death she actually gets angry and starts taking a more active role. My Korean sucks, but from the raws she realling starts thinking about who would want to kill her, and they start seeking out their enimies, while making some surprising allies. But she's starting to get a back bone and become more confidant. However her biggest selling point with changing people's views of her is her kindness, which does not mean she lacks a spine, just that she tries to treat every one with care. But anyway, this really is only the beginning and things start to pick up from here.

I've heard spoilers that Belgarde is the confirmed ML. I don't think Rian and the merchant have bonded enough to the point of affection that Belgarde and Rian have for each other. Every time the merchant tries to court or flirt with her, Rian doesn't reject him but she doesn't really open up as much as she does with Belgarde.

You know I have several series where the step brother, that FL did not grow up with, is the ML and people bitch like a MOFO! But here! It's her cousin and everyone is like "Please let him be the ML". DAMN! How is it that blood relations are okay but non blood relations get the "insest" tags? Can SOMEONE please explain this?!

See that's what gets me! This same logic is used when an older person's soul, from another world is transmigrated into a new born baby. People argue that just because the soul is old and has memories of it's past life that they are pedophile's when they have a relationship with a person under 18. But the truth is just because the soul is older doesn't make the body older if that person is under 18 and has feeling for a person under 18 it's not fucking pedophilia. Like step siblings that don't grow up together are commiting incest, but some how the fact that the two characters of this story are cousins, BLOOD RELATED, is completely skipped over because the FL's SOUL is not blood related? Seriously?! The body she is in is his cousin! If he falls for the FL in her demon form that's different, but her PHYSICAL form is a close blood relation to him! So rooting for him to be the FL, WHILE she is still in the princess's body, is like rooting for them to commit incest. How is that any different than rooting for step siblings to get together, at least THEY aren't actually related by blood.
