*spoiler* The doctor wants to continue the pure bloodline of the Duke family and wants Lucia to get pregnant with a baby girl. Because in order to keep the bloodline pure it means that the Dukes current son would have to mate with his half-sister (assuming he were to have a half sister). But of course the Duke doesn’t want that and thinks that’s gross so he banished the doctor. There’s a lot more to it but this is just a quick recap let me know if you want me to go more in depth.
