I've thought this for a long time, but I think Souichi is Autistic. There are many reasons for me thinking this, I can explain further if anyone wants.

I kind of want to go through it again and write down everything.
But basically, he doesn't do well in social situations, constant misunderstanding and miscommunication, I think morinaga or someone actually said in a recent chapter that he thinks differently to other people about that stuff. He also has always found it hard to make friends/didn't want friends, to the point it worried his family.
He doesn't seem to care that much about anything other than his research work (special interest?) Other than his family (and mori) of course.
he seems to have a bit of trouble with change, I could absolutely be wrong about this though as the times I'm thinking about there are definitely other circumstances, like when mori asked him to come over tonight and he said no and to ask next week, and the transition from researcher post doc to prof, and the whole relationship with mori changing (but of course like i said there are other reasons).
He has an aversion to touch, especially around his head, and doesnt like being clung onto, but of course we know he has some other reasons to avoid touch
I can't think of much more off the top of my head
But for asexuality,
Aversion to touch comes in here again, the general awkwardness around the subject of sex, not just gay sex, when he heard the straight couple in Canada through the wall, even though he ended up wackin it he was awkward about it.
Now, the subject of wackin it, while libido isn't exactly a factor for asexuality, it can be for some, and from the scenes we get of solo souichi, from what is said it sounds like he doesn't do it often at all, at least to me.
He doesn't seem to have any kind of interest in dating before the situationship with mori, even when it starts there's no dialogue or inner monologue of any worries about dating other people or anything like that, and given his personality I really find it hard to imagine he has dated anyone at all before this.
Conclusion: I think he is demisexual and demiromantic
Haha yeah I can see all that, something to add is that the bar guy (I'm bad at remembering names forgive me) said something about souichi being unbalanced and that he doesn't understand social cues as much while still being a genius, which is well, you can see why I pointed that out. There are some very obvious faults with this manga, but it will always have a very special place in my heart. I have been reading it for about 5 years, or maybe even more. Every time I reread it I feel at home for some reason, it's nostalgic for me. Having it finally end is bitter sweet, but I thank the author for keeping it going all these years. It will always be my number 1, even though I might not reccommended it to others haha.

Hi! I also upload files here in mangago and sometimes they really just dont respond, so I just send them the file multiple times (like 2-3 times)
They were saying to me that they won't upload lezhin official translations, even though they have done so SO MANY times before.
If you're in possession of any other ch, you should consider uploading them on Tumblr or imgur, like some of the others, then just post the link in the comments, or dm it to people you consider trustworthy.

I just spent the last few days rereading this whole manga non-stop from the start, right from the chapters in challengers, and I can definitely say the pacing feels right. Seriously, if you guys want to complain so much because it has been years, you are just forgetting the rest of the story, I bet you don't remember half of what's happened. it has only been a couple years for the characters, even though its been like 20 for us. Try reading from the start and get some better perspective, please

well.. that's the thing. this is a fiction. not real life. 15 volumes over 10+ years for that little of development is a poor pacing for a story.
Its long form slow burn, if you read it all in one go it feels pretty fine, yeah maybe some things could have been cut and the chapters should come out a lot faster than they are, but that's just unfortunate fact that the chapters come out 1 every few months, all I am saying is that if the people complaining want something fast paced then they should go read something else and stop complaining about this 1 manga, like, like it or not, it won't change
actually no. if i want to be more accurate it has been going on for almost 20 years. it started at 2004. the pacing IS a problem. it's not a slow burn anymore, it's not burning at all. and anyone who read it/follow it has the right to complain about it. as an author, you have to make the story engaging for the readers. almost 20 years of publishing for that little of development is not engaging at all. i do want to say that complaining here in this website will not change anything. but complaining on an official website/to the author may change something.
