characters like charin are not complicated and deep lol. they're exactly like ppl who make shitty decisions and then feel bad about themselves instead of taking responsibility, and they latch on and suck anyone who is good to them dry so they never have to truly face life. and if you ever tell them this they cry and scream that they're a bad person so they deserve to die, or they get go cold and go ah I'm the worst arent I. and again, it's the people around them that suffer but again they turn to blaming themselves rather than choose to do anything constructive, which again, just creates a shitty life for anyone who cares.
i had fun with this story but its a shame there's a problem with it I can't ignore.
erna's extreme inability to draw boundaries and voice them appropriately defines her entire character and makes her deeply dislikable. it is a real flaw of someone's character that in the real world should not be tolerated in thinking adults.
it would be fine if this was a story of growth but the story itself seems to say that everything and everyone else needs to change, not her, so that she can continue to stay a child.
the writer is pretty accurate though that the only people who would like adults-who-are-children are normally old ladies, other children, and men traumized by their wife cheating on them.
Oohh maaaaannn.. You'll definitely love the chasing arc.. Chefs kiss
