I’ve looked at all the comments and have come to my own opinion. I agree that the way the fl objectifies these men is not only dehumanizing and immoral but also the fact that most readers here consider this to be feminist? Why?!
As this only has one chapter I can’t judge the fl’s motivations so much and the author’s too. Which is why I will take the open minded approach instead. I developed a theory that perhaps it’s the author’s intention to make the fl , well bland -no villain is a better word- until she gets a character development and has a change of heart.
What I’m most curious about is the fl’s past, and why that led to her decision in this whole collecting men for her jewelry box idea? Was she abused by men and decided to take her power back by...well you know?
