The duke deserves so much more credit - like he lived all those years with his memories of the past, went through all betrayal and hardship AGAIN and never once gave up on loving Erin (Noel) and trying to find her, only for her to not even remember him BUT even then he doesn’t even falter and he courts and marries her regardless of her lost memories!! It just seems so sad to me that the author made the Duke so happy and relived to even find her when I would be absolutely devastated if the reunion I was waiting for turned out to be my lover forgetting me and about everything we went through together ╥﹏╥
