hey this manhua got licensed for an official translation by wecomics! you can read it for free up to chapter 17 on the app as “male consort in a game” or on the website here: https://m.wecomics.com/comic/index/id/1177?id=1177&type=search
unfortunately i’m not sure how wecomics works for releasing chapters so i’m not sure if you’ll have to buy the rest or wait later for them to release :// also the translations on wecomics are more awkward, but if you’re impatient like me i hope this helps :))))
i feel like the first couple’s story is kinda incomplete. it looked like suk-yin had depression (messy apartment and eyebags) and an unhealthy relationship with his work, riddled with anxiety and perfectionism. and then him and woo-in just get together and shag a few times and it’s mostly solved with a single line? (when woo-in said he saw suk-yin as perfect by his standards, not anyone else’s). i want to see them both developing more and actually see suk-yin getting over the way he attaches his self-worth to his work. it’s hinted when they have a spontaneous and unplanned day on the trip and when he takes his wristwatch off, but it still feels incomplete imo. the trauma and problems still exist and i want to see them acknowledged more and see them setting healthy boundaries. i know irl it’s hard to have a clean resolution but the first couple sailed a little too smoothly after getting back together ://// i hope their story gets a continuation after this arc
bruh they really do be cradlesnatching
like if u think about it arisaka sensei is “dating” a guy who’s the same age as his daughter. no matter how you look at it that shit doesn’t sit right
also the main pairing in this is icky simply because of the age gap. this is a GROWN ASS MAN with a tiny kid. he’s younger than me and i would NEVER consider dating anyone above 19,,,,
they even joke about being caught by the police or the restrictions being looser in some scenes at the bar like miss girl that’s not the serve you think it is
i really wanted to skip this installment of the series altogether but someone said i had to read this one to understand the next and now i’m so glad it’s over
i want to read this but i need to know if it has a happy ending, because the comments worry me and i can’t handle angst if there’s no light at the end lol
is it a happy ending, a sad ending, an open ending, or a hopeful ending? is it rushed? if it’s not happy and it’s rushed then please spoil it for me so ik what i’m getting into!
okay realistically yuyang and lihuan probably have nothing to worry about because they’re the main cp and this is the extra chapters so it’d make no sense to throw away >137 chapters of development by having them break up. what i’m REALLY worried about are huanwen and ji yuan. like i’m worried they won’t have an ending in the 2 remaining extras and if they don’t i’m literally PRAYING for a spinoff.
to all the haters, please understand that translating a series is hard. there’s really no other way to put it. i did a fan translation of one chapter of a manhwa from viet to english (just like the current uploader is doing) and it took like a week between classwork and daily life. and sometime the nuance of a sentence is really hard to capture in another language so that it sounds weird translated, because you have to choose between staying true to the text or changing it. lots of things to consider, and i admit it’s super hard and i don’t see myself doing it again. so the fact that the uploader has chosen to dedicate their time to doing this again and again means a lot, and if you want to hate on it i suggest you learn the language yourself or wait for official translations ://
okay I’m totally okay with people spoiling the ending, just please tell what happens and describe the ending. i can handle sad endings but only if i know what i’m getting into lol. i know they both die, but how or why? i’ve heard many good things about this story so please tell me what it’s like!! (try not to be vague pls)
i was rereading the first chapter and the screencap of the movie luca watched with his friend looked really familiar. then it occurred to me that it’s actually the film Rafiki!! it’s an actual movie about two women falling in love and i’ve heard wonderful things about it. it’s really nice that the mangaka gave them a cameo here :))))
