nooo, the offering starts when he's in adolescence age, so between 10-19. But from his features, I think it started when he's 15. He was at edge of death when they found him so I guess that they made him a little fatter so that he won't die instantly after doing the deed with him

Yes, it’s dark, but the thing is that they’re gods. Not human. They’ve quite literally had eternity to do whatever they want without human legal systems keeping them in check, so our human concept of morality doesn’t apply in the same way it would for a story with completely human characters. I’ve been interested in Egyptian and Greek mythology for a hot second now and I always find this examination between human values and godly actions really intriguing. I don’t know how I’ll get through the more morbid parts of the story, but it’s interesting to me all the same

idk if ur still looking for spoilers, the psychological aspect comes into play with how andrew manipulated her family members who abused her and killed those who hurt herta or her family + the way they both initially wanted to use each other. the main relationship is actually nice and i wouldn't call it unhealthy since andrew wasn't planning on staying alive in the end
