So the latest chapter has had me acting like a freaking conspiracy theorist. So I skimmed 80+ chapters just to confirm that Cain is indeed sus (I actually have a life guys, please believe me ). I am disappointed to say though that there is more smut than plot. Because how in hell can I point to 6 chapters (I am not even counting Ver's backstory) to support my theory? Like we need more plot. Anyways let's get to the facts.

Fact 1: Something did go wrong because of Cain: In chapter 5, Ken has a dream featuring Ver. He said, "I feel like I'm running so hard my lungs are about to burst but I'm still too late. It's like something went wrong and it's because of me. So I keep begging for forgiveness in that dream". He dreams that he begs Ver for forgiveness but he doesn't listen and when he calls Ver's name, Ver looks at him crying. Interesting.

Fact 2: The prophecy is False (or True depending on how you look at it): Chapter 9 sheds light on what the prophecy, well the one the church believes, says: The god of the moon and the qod of death make Aman, but a monster, jealous of people worshipping Aman, tricks a human who made a grave mistake (?) and somehow the moon's life was stolen by the monster. Now, the monster ingested the moon's blood, gained immortality and started hunting humans for blood.
As you can guess, the monster they are referring to is Ver and apparently the only way to defeat him is when the humans of the moon and death (I'm guessing the reincarnations) become one and the curse on humans would be broken. But Ver's backstory proves this to be false. Because vampires already existed, way before Cain died. Which begs the question: who started spreading this false prophecy. Another way to look at it is the prophecy is actually based on the truth. You know how a rumor starts. It's basically the truth but missing a few key details. The prophecy actually mirrors what Cain telling Ver to do. All three of them in the sanctum. That is probably what Cain tried to do in the past but he failed and that is why the prophecy keeps failing. It's because Ver is not involved. We will get to why he wasn't involved the first time in a bit.

Fact 3 (Actually this is less of a fact and more of something funny we all forgot): Ver and Ken almost did it in chapter 12 and 13. I actually can't believe I forgot. This was one of Ver/Ian's attempts to kidnap Ken.

Fact 4: Ver was killed by Agio: Two chapters mention this. Chap 53 was when Agia told Ken of the day his mother died. He remembers almost being killed by Ver but later waking up and finding out he took one of Vercike's arms. The rest of the chapter shows what really happened. Ver kills Agia but then that kinda makes Agio come out, who cuts off one of Ver's arms, and starts calling for Cain and saying 'Stop Cain. We must go back'. In that moment, Ver remembers something: 'You will die by Agio's hand once again'. The day Cain and Agio died, he was killed before that happened.
Chap 64 tells more about the day itself. Isabel tells Agia what Ver told her. That because of some misunderstanding, Ver was killed by Agio but brought back by Cain, which is how he gained immortality. But he doesn't remember how it all happened and he couldn't find Cain or Agio. All he remembers Cain telling him to go to the inner sanctum with humans of the moon and death. He couldn't do that though because he can't enter Aman, for reasons he doesn't understand. And this is true because the way he's been entering Aman is basically by puppeteering his thralls. He's done this twice now, when he bit Ken in chapter 1 and when he tried to kidnap Ken in chapter 12. The only reason he's in Aman now is because he was invited by Ken (you know, old timey vampire rules). This was also mentioned in chap 64 as the only way he could enter Aman.

So all this kinda leads to believe that Cain did try to do something but couldn't because Ver was killed. Cain maybe decided to bring Ver back at the cost of his life which would kinda explain why Ver is immortal. Agio didn't agree for obvious reasons so they probably fought. Somehow ended up with both of them dying but Cain succeeded in bringing Ver back to life, with his dying wish being for All three of us together in the sanctum.

Another thing to mention is what Agia said in the last chap. That Aman doesn't reveal themselves in dreams. But he has seen Cain in a dream which is why he is recalling it now (Chap 65). The dream kinda put Cain in ominous light, telling Agia to 'Stop disappointing him, come back to me and fulfill the prophecy". Very weird.

Why I really think Cain is sus is because Ver had lived with him for thousands of years and is recently only finding out that Cain is a mind reader. Another reason is that this last chapter ISN'T the first time Cain shushed Ken. He shushed him twice in chapter 81 when he was trying to explain why he wasn't interested in fulfilling the prophecy with Ver and Agia.

Anyway, I think the true victims of this story are Agia and Ver. Ver is still being used by Cain and Agia is heavily brainwashed by the church. I honestly hope they both find happiness.
