UMMM I can't speak for everyone else but that's definitely NOT my reason for why I want the omega to be the seme. There's something about the dynamic of the omega being super naive and puppy-like and the alpha being really loose, dominant, and neko-like that makes me want the roles to be switched. There's also something about the omegas expressions that make him look more manly or seme-like than the alpha. While it's the norm, I try not to base the seme/uke dynamic solely on height because not all stories follow that.
For me,maybe they are saying the taller one to be uke but the one who control everything....its like horny uke that's always on top

Lawlz I just knew someone was going to misinterpret this. Just like nadi said, I like when a seme is can be puppylike while still having still being passionate or having manly features. This dynamic can be found in short semes/tall ukes as well. Take some examples like Uchi No Tenshi Ga Kemono Deshita (or any of Mishima Kazuhiko's work) or Kawaii Akuma. Both stories have a feisty TALLER uke and a SHORTER seme who is cute yet passionate (or "manly") for the uke. (That being said the seme in the Kawaii Akuma series does end up becoming you're typical taller and possessive type however his initial persona is like I previously stated).
The moral of the story is that you read so much about the typical possessive seme and cute uke in yaoi, especially in omegaverse, that it's nice to see a possible change in that. Height doesn't always play the only part in ones seme/uke dynamic preference. And even if it does, so what? Why you gotta put down those who favor a taller seme?
