Nobody criticizes the fact that the boyfriend moved on after thinking he was dead. The criticism comes from the way he handled the situation and the way he handled the MC.
For him, 5 years had passed, in which he managed to deal with his feelings. The MC woke up from a coma, where in his perspective his boyfriend the day before told him how much he loved him, and the day he wakes up, he tells him he doesn't want to see him, that he wants to cut all ties with him and already have someone else. He was extremely insensitive and cruel, especially taking his new boyfriend to meet them.
He owed the MC a respectful treatment, for all their past friendship and love.

This I agree with! It's understandable that the ex would move on after not hearing anything from MC for so long. But its how he went about it that was really cruel. MC just got out of a coma ffs and that's how he treats him? That's what was the worst for me because MC didn't deserve THAT. But the ex ends up suffering later because of it. So really he gets his for how he treated MC back then, but I dont fault him for moving on.

I wholeheartedly agree that he should’ve been nicer, shoul’ve been more rational, but he’s just as confused as the yoon, equally as hurt. You need to look at it from his pov. How would you feel if the love of your life randomly disappeared one day, and you desperately tried searching for them for four years and then losing hope, and when you’re finally moving on, they show up with a crazy story about them being in a coma this whole time. The ex is angry and confused about his feelings, he’s angry bc he finally moved on only for him to show up alive and well. He’s angry bc it doesn’t matter who he’s with, he’s still in love with him. And he naturally got angry at yoon for suggesting they sleep together, it must have made him feel like shit. I’m not saying what he did was right, this doesn’t justify anything, but it explains it a lot. You can’t be mad at him for having a natural reaction to a situation he doesn’t know how to deal with.

It’s showing ya guys lack more in depth information about the story. I’ve finished the novel months ago and I will now tell you the whole truth.

First let’s start with Mr. Ex. Ya know why he got mad at the beginning he was mad when Yoon offered to sleep with him? Because he was guilty. His relationship with his new boyfriend started as a sexual one. They first had drunk sex where Taejung thought Yeongwoo was Yoon and they fucked. Yeongwoo this lying slut was helping his Hyung taking off his clothes and then his Hyung suddenly started kissing him and they did the deed. Mr. Ex was super guilty because of this. He thought he forced Yeongwoo to have sex with him because he was mad drunk and he saw Yeongwoo’s face and body are actually beat up. He thought he raped Yeongwoo in which Yeongwoo didnt deny and told his Hyung he liked what happened. You know what’s funny? This happened during the 5 years phase. It never reached 5 years of coma before they started sleeping around. The ex admitted that he enjoyed being comforted and given “love” by Yeongwoo. Because all these expressions he had never experienced Yoon doing it to him. It was only him keep on doting on Yoon during their relationship. Hence deep inside he was burning and yearning. It’s also mentioned in the novel that Yeongwoo is really aggressive in bed and that’s how he show his “love” on mr. Ex. See now? Understand?

Taejung cheated on Yoon and he even admitted it. That’s why he was guilty and frustrated because he cannot deny the fact he embrace someone other than Yoon. Since Yoon was actually alive and all. He made him his vent outlet. He put the blame on Yoon all the years selfishly and that he regret. Their relationship since the beginning before the coma has been shaky because they both don’t share the same passion and perspective. This is why the novel is called Ways of Parting or Way of Breaking up. It’s about the two of them breaking their long love that became toxic and unhealthy to each other. I cried so badly at their true break up moment. It was very devastating. Considering all the things that happened.

Now for more information. The director seme actually found out that the uke was alive and he was the one who did all of it as presented in the webtoon. He was in contact with the Ex Boyfriend because Taejung keep contacting him regularly that time for information about Yoon. But you know? He stopped contacting him 3 years after. Because he received “comfort” from Yeongwoo that he had forgotten about Yoon for a while and took it as a sign to move on. The ex seme admitted he had cheated on Yoon basically in their relationship regardless he knows or he did not.

Yeongwoo is a slut. Period. Cannot blame him for his super thirst tor Ex Seme. What happened after drunk sex will happen again. A love that started with an accident will not last. Of course after that drunk sex they fucked again later on who knows when. An accident that will happen, again and again which leads to now. :)

I don't agree with most of these comments. The only thing I was mad with the ex was how he handled the break up because yes, he did terrible at that, but even so, this situation is not normal and there is not right or wrong way of dealing with it. There is no right choice with whom he should stay with (though we know some background and we're not a fan of his current bf but ex doesn't know about it). This is incredibly difficult and hard situation and everyone here acts like they know the answer XD but none of us knows how we'd behave if we were in this kind of situation. Would we handle the break up better? perhaps, but maybe he was so harsh with it to quickly cut ties with the mc and thought that maybe it'd be easier for mc to move on after that. Maybe he considered himself more in this situation? Even if he did, I don't blame him, it's been 5 years, he finally moved on and it turned out mc was alive all along. If the story was shown from the perspective of the new boyfriend (and if he woudn't do some of the things, but if he'd be the mc he pobably woudn't XD) everyone would be on his side. All the hate for the ex annoys me a little XD I cannot judge him and I woudn't judge people in this situation irl. I probably would a little if that'd happen to me, because i'm human XD but i'd like to think That I woudn't judge too hard
